Kopš Latvijā ticis izsludināts ārkārtas stāvoklis, pašizolācijā un karantīnā atrodas tūkstošiem iedzīvotāju. Īpaši svarīga pašizolācija ir vecāka gada gājuma cilvēkiem, kā arī tiem, kam ir hroniskas saslimšanas. Tāpēc izveidota platforma, kur satikties tiem, kuriem palīdzība vajadzīga, ar tiem, kuri var palīdzēt. Today is the final day of our EuropeAid funded project - many thanks to them for allowing us this wonderful collaboration with partners in Gulbene, Latvia and La Selva, Spain. Yesterday in Gulbene took place Public forum "The municipality and the world". Here met school and pre-school teachers, local government experts and representatives of NGOs. They discussed the currently topical issues in society. Forum's main objective - to raise global education themes and globalization processes in local government in the context of a discussion on local features and functions within the framework of global education.

And here it is!
The song "Saule. Pērkons. Daugava." sung by pupils from Lejasciema vidusskola, Lizuma vidusskola and Gulbene 2nd secondary schools and Gulbene municipality state gymnasium ( Gulbenes novada valsts ģimnāzija) .

The idea - to make videos by using masterpieces of some well known poets from each country - comes from our Spanish partners. As the last year in Latvia cultural life was connected with our great poet Rainis, project partners from Gulbene municipality chose this song with lyrics wrote by Rainis (music composed by M. Brauns).
