😎 Feeling Hot Hot Hot
Planning a visit to our beach this week? Please stay safe and take extra precautions during the extreme weather conditions and follow all some safety advice below. 🌊⚠️
🌞 Watch the Water:
Be extremely careful of cold-water shock. Always visit a lifeguarded beach and swim between the red and yellow flags. Never use inflatables in the sea, as offshore winds can sweep you out.
🌞 Float to Live:
If you fall into the water unexpectedly, don't panic or thrash. Lean back, tilt your head so your ears are submerged, and control your breathing until you can call for help or swim to safety.
🌞 Stay Well Back:
Stick to signposted coastal paths and stay well away from unstable cliff edges and bases. If you get stuck in mud, lean back to spread your weight evenly.
🌞 Protect Yourself in the Sun:
Stay hydrated, avoid heavy exercise during peak heat, and stay in the shade. Use high-factor sunscreen and wear suitable clothing.
📟 Emergency Action: Always take a fully charged mobile phone. In a coastal emergency, immediately dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard. 📟
