π° Another demanding day for Port Talbot Coastguard with 15 shouts in 3 days.

π Aberafan Beach.
Our team was initially tasked to assist South Wales Police with reports of a despondent person on Aberafan Beach.
While conducting a brief search of the area, we received updated information that the individual had last been seen elsewhere.
π Attendance Request - 4οΈβ£9οΈβ£.
We were then immediately diverted to a second incident alongside RNLI Lifeguards Swansea involving two missing children last seen at the waterβs edge. To support the search efforts, we requested the launch of RNLI Port Talbot.
Following an extensive search of multiple areas, confirmation was received that both children had been located safe and well.

Our third tasking of the day came shortly afterwards, following reports of another missing child on Aberafan Beach. Working alongside RNLI Lifeguards Swansea and South Wales Police, the child was quickly located by Coastguard Rescue Officers and members of the public, before being safely reunited with their parents.

Our fourth and final tasking was alongside Porthcawl Coastguard to a medical incident near Rhych Point.
Working in partnership with South East Wales Lifeguards, South Wales Police, Welsh Ambulance Services University NHS Trust and the Wales Air Ambulance Charity.
We would like to thank National Coastwatch Institution - Porthcawl who provided valuable information during this incident.
The team returned to station at approximately 20:35 following a busy operational day.
