Your kindness and generosity really did mean a lot to the crew, especially after what has been an incredibly busy and challenging few weeks.

We’re very fortunate to serve such a supportive community, and gestures like this remind us just how much that community spirit matters. The pizzas and drinks were very much appreciated — and certainly didn’t last long! 😂🍕

A big thank you to everyone at Domino’s Porthcawl, and to Josh Davies for helping rally the community and showing such fantastic support.

Well, this feels like the perfect reason to bring this account back to life.

This week, we had the privilege of supporting our local fire crew Gorsaf Dân ac Achub Porthcawl / Porthcawl Fire and Rescue Station of South Wales Fire and Rescue Service with some pizzas and drinks. More importantly, we had the chance to listen to some of their stories and hear about the situations they’ve faced over the last couple of weeks.

It really is an eye-opener...

These teams have been working tirelessly to protect our communities and the people in them, often putting themselves in incredibly challenging situations to help others.

Dropping off some pizzas and drinks is only a small gesture, but we genuinely felt it was the least we could do to show our appreciation for everything they do. 🍕

It’s moments like this that remind us how important it is to come together as a community and support those who are there for us when we need them most.

Let's show this amazing crew some love ❤️‍🚒

And if there’s anything you can do to support your local fire service, however big or small, it won’t go unnoticed!!

Arson has consequences.

Over the past few weeks, our crews have responded to a number of deliberately set grassfires across South Wales. These incidents put communities at risk, can impact people's health, threaten wildlife, and divert emergency resources away from people who need us.

Deliberately starting fires is a criminal offence. If you see suspicious behaviour or have information about deliberate fire-setting, please report it to Crimestoppers by calling 0800 555 111 or the police by calling 101.

We need you with us. Let's work together to help keep our communities safe.

Emergency services and partner agencies are continuing to respond to significant wildfire incidents across south Wales.

𝗡𝗼 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗺𝗶𝘁𝘁𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝗲𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀, 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗲 𝗱𝗿𝘆 𝘄𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗼𝗱.

With hot, dry weather increasing the risk of fires spreading quickly, the fire service is under significant pressure and we’re asking residents and visitors to help keep our communities safe:

🔥 Do not light fires outdoors.
🍖 𝗡𝗼 𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗯𝗲𝗰𝘂𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗿 𝗳𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝗽𝗶𝘁𝘀.
🚨 Report any suspicious behaviour or deliberate fire setting to the police by calling 101.
📞 Please only call 999 if you have a new emergency to report to the Fire Service.

⛔ Stay away from affected areas to allow emergency services to work safely and effectively.

📢 Follow any local restrictions and safety advice in affected areas.

If you are affected by smoke, keep windows and doors closed where possible and follow Public Health Wales advice.

🚨 Breaking: Firefighters are currently tackling several serious wildfire flare ups in Wales - relentlessly battling to contain the flames before the country enters yet another heatwave. Shout out to all the brave men and women working tirelessly to contain the fires and keep us all safe. July was the busiest on record for wildfires and firefighters have now responded to almost 200 wildfires in the first 10 days of August alone. You are all heroes ❤️🙌
