Whilst we appreciate the weather is nice and the coast looks inviting the mud flats and banks around Portishead are extremely dangerous not to mention the speed and height of our tides.
Despite all the warning signs of the dangers and not to pass the safety of the pebbles one individual today decided to try and go for a jog in one of the most dangerous areas of the Bristol channel. Fortunately they turned around in time and made it back to shore without the need of CRO's attending in full mud rescue equipment to rescue them before the tide turned just 10 minutes later!!
Please enjoy but stay safe around the coast and if you see someone in difficulty or who potentially could be please Diall 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
