Community Notice: Partnership in place for managing Unauthorised Encampments

Portishead Town Council has put in place a service level agreement with Able Investigations and Enforcement Services, a local professional enforcement company, should support be required in response to any unauthorised camping on land owned by Portishead Town Council.

This agreement ensures that, if needed, we can act promptly, lawfully, and fairly in line with best practice procedures to protect public land and community spaces.

If you have any concerns or spot activity that may need attention, please contact the Town Council office so we can deal with the situation.

Think before you drive ⚠️ 🙏

We all have a role to play in keeping North Somerset safe for everyone.

Anti-social driving and vehicle-related nuisances can have a significant impact on residents, businesses, and visitors.

Under Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs), behaviour such as excessive vehicle noise, driving likely to cause alarm or distress, and congregating around stationary vehicles may result in enforcement action.

Failure to comply could lead to prosecution.

If you see anti-social driving or vehicle nuisance in your area, please report it to Avon and Somerset Police or Safer Stronger North Somerset - you'll find the links you need in the comments 👇
