If folk could just remind their children - while we still await the signs going up in the park
No balls
No bikes
No dogs
Allowed in the park at all
And please place all sweetie wrappers and chewing gum in the green bin in front of the park
Thank you 😊
The reason for no balls is because it is a hazard to other small children in the park and that there is clearly no room to play it and the children that have been doing so have been climbing over our new fence to retrieve it in the neighbouring garden and breaking plants that have just been bought as well as it it hitting windows! There are plenty parks in Portree to play football no need to be playing it in a small enclosed Playpark!
The reason for no bikes - is quite obvious there are small children playing in the park, it could seriously hurt them or knock them over and there really isn’t room for it in that small space! Use the skate ramp park!
The reason for no dogs is simply because the park is entirely rubber wet pour and if they foul on it, it just sits there - clearly p**p is not only awful to step in but actually dangerous if ingested by a toddler!
We hope to get the picnic tables back at some point so dogs can sit outside the park with thier adult owners while their children enjoy the park!
These are all standard rules in any Playpark!
