It was a pleasure to attend the Volunteer Recognition Event at Belfast Harbour Office, hosted by Peter Sparks, CEO of the RNLI.

The afternoon celebrated the remarkable dedication of volunteers across the organisation, with many long-service awards presented. Among those recognised was Merwyn Chambers Hanna MBE, whose unwavering commitment to the RNLI spans an incredible 70 years — a truly inspiring achievement.

Earlier this year, our Portrush and Portstewart Fundraising Branch was honoured to receive an Excellence in Volunteering Award. While the award recognised the collective efforts of our entire branch, only a few members of our committee were able to attend the presentation. It was a privilege to be there alongside Richard, Heather and Paula, whose energy, time and dedication have been exceptional.

Volunteer recognition events such as this provide a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the people who give so much of themselves to support the RNLI’s lifesaving work. Congratulations to all those recognised for their outstanding service and commitment

Mayday Mile completed!

Thanks to the fantastic efforts of our fundraisers and the incredible generosity of the communities of Portrush and Portstewart, we have raised almost £1,000.

A huge thank you to everyone who took part, donated, and supported us. Your continued generosity helps make a real difference, and we are truly grateful for your ongoing support.

ALL HANDS ON DECK — QUIZ NIGHT at Portrush Yacht Club!

Ahoy shipmates! Drop anchor on Friday 5th June and navigate your way to Portrush Yacht Club for a legendary evening of noggin testing! But beware at the helm stands our dastardly Quiz Master, a crafty old sea dog with a twinkle in his eye and mischief in his charts! He’s been known to lure even the sharpest quizzers onto the rocks with his devious questions.

And remember every penny raised goes to Portrush Lifeboats.

So get your crew together and chart a course for a brilliant night!

On behalf of everyone at the Portrush Lifeboats RNLI I would like to express my sincere thanks to Counterpoint Choir for the wonderful concert held at St Patrick’s Church, Coleraine last night in support of the RNLI and Sophie’s Nurse.
We are incredibly grateful to the choir for sharing their time and talent, to St Patrick’s Church for hosting such a special evening, and to everyone who came along to support the event. Your generosity, kindness, and support are deeply appreciated.
Funds raised through events like this make a real difference, helping the RNLI continue its lifesaving work and ensuring our volunteer crews have the training, equipment, and resources needed to save lives at sea.
Community support means everything to us, and we are truly thankful to everyone who helped make the evening such a success.
Thank you for supporting the RNLI and for helping us continue to save lives at sea.

Come along to our brilliant quiz night on Friday 5th June at 7pm the Portrush Yacht Club. Bring your brains, your friends, and that one teammate who knows all the random answers no one else does.

There’ll be the usual raffle too, with all proceeds going to support the Portrush Lifeboats.

A great night guaranteed…win or loose.

The Raft Race certainly brought the crowds out to Portrush, and thanks to everyone’s incredible generosity, we raised thousands of pounds for the Portrush Lifeboats.
A huge thank you to the organisers, everyone who took part, our sponsors, our fantastic shop volunteers, and of course our dedicated fundraisers who were out all day with collection buckets.
And a very special thank you to every single person who made a donation — your support means so much and helps us continue our lifesaving work.

A huge thank you to the Bar & Restaurant Magilligan for hosting the Causeway Shantymen on 3rd June in support of the Portrush Lifeboats.

We are incredibly grateful for your hospitality and generosity in helping raise funds for such an important cause.
