✨ July Round-Up! ✨

As the academic year comes to a close, it's time for our final monthly round-up! 💛
We've made the most of the beautiful weather by spending lots of time outdoors, getting creative in the art area, and having plenty of fun in the kitchen. It’s been the perfect way to end a fantastic term before the summer holidays begin.

✨ For our final photography session of the year, we went... lion hunting! 🦁📸

No, not real lions! 😂 Portsmouth is home to a pride of beautifully designed and decorated lion sculptures, created by a range of talented artists and dotted all around the city for everyone to enjoy this summer.
Even better, our very own Mark from NXT has designed one of the lions! 🎨🦁

✨ Baking brilliance alert! 🎂🧁
One of our amazing young people cooked up a storm in the kitchen, creating a beautiful handmade birthday cake and a batch of delicious cupcakes—all in one day! 🤩
From careful planning to mixing, decorating and plenty of hard work, this was no easy task. The dedication, creativity and baking skills on display were incredible, and we're so proud of what they achieved! 👏

🧑🏼‍🍳Our young people have been putting their skills to the test in the kitchen recently, taking on the challenge of making Swiss rolls! 🍰👏

It's been fantastic to see the different techniques they're using and the confidence they're building across a variety of dishes, including baking. Every creation is a chance to learn something new, and we're so proud of their creativity, determination, and growing independence! 💛

Our workshop has been buzzing recently, with our young people taking on some fantastic projects and achieving some amazing results! 👏🔨

Their first project was building a bench with a table. Once they'd finished, they decided to take it a step further by adding built-in planters to the back, which are now filled with beautiful flowers. 🌸🪴

Their second project was creating a duck house for our two ducklings who have grown up so quickly! They're no longer so little and are now ready to head home with Matt and Katie. 🦆🏡

💄✨ Our beauty sessions have been keeping our young people busy as they continue to develop their skills in lashes, nails, and hair!

These techniques take time, patience, and practice to master, but our young people are showing fantastic dedication and making great progress every week.

We're so proud of how far they've come and can't wait to see their skills continue to grow! 💅💇‍♀️👏

On their latest trip, they visited Fort Nelson, where they had a fantastic time exploring the fascinating exhibits, developing their photography skills, and capturing some great shots along the way.

It’s been a brilliant opportunity to learn, get creative, and enjoy a day out together! 📷✨

🌞 June Round-Up! 🌞

What a fantastic month it's been! Our young people have been getting stuck into a wide range of sessions, from fitness, car valeting and photography to beauty and catering. It's been great to see everyone trying new skills, building confidence, and giving each activity their all.

Even with the warmer weather, everyone has stayed motivated, worked hard, and absolutely smashed it! 💪👏

The summer holidays are just around the corner, so let's keep that energy, enthusiasm, and momentum going.
