Our Wellbeing Service team were at Fratton Park yesterday, talking about the free support available to help people quit smoking 🚭

Pompey may have left it until the last minute to score, but when it comes to quitting smoking, there's no better time to start than today.

Bonfire Night Safety - Remember it is illegal to:

• Set off fireworks between 11pm and 7am (Bonfire Night is extended until midnight)
• To throw or set off a firework in the street, onto a road or in a public place.
• For a member of the public to possess a ‘display’ style firework (Category 4)
• To store fireworks for private use for more than 14 days.
• To cause unnecessary suffering to animals with fireworks.

You cannot buy or use fireworks if you're under 18, and you must not set off fireworks between 11pm and 7am, except on certain occasions

Spiking Awareness Campaign

You have the right to feel safe and have fun when going on a night out. To those with other ideas, we’re watching you and we do not tolerate any form of spiking.

If you or a friend is spiked with drugs or alcohol there are things you can do to stay safe. Remember to:
• Stay with someone you know and trust and keep talking.
• Never leave the person you suspect has been spiked
alone.
• Report it to venue staff, security and to police via 101.
• In an emergency call 999 or visit A&E.
• Keep hold of any evidence.
• If you think your drink, food, cigarette or v**e may have
been spiked then don’t risk it.

Big Conversation Survey

The OPCC Youth Commission brings together young people aged 14 to 25 from across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight to support, challenge and inform the work of the Police and Crime Commissioner.

Through their annual Big Conversation survey, they identify what matters most to young people and make recommendations to policing and partner organisations to help create positive change.

Halloween ‘No trick or treat’ posters

Hampshire and IOW Constabulary’s ‘No trick or treat’ poster is available for display if you don’t want trick or treaters at your door this Halloween.

This poster can be displayed in your home, or homes of any neighbours or relatives. It should be displayed in a prominent position either on the front door or front window.
