🚨 Joint Station Training Exercise 🚨
Last night, our crew joined forces with our colleagues from Fleetwood Fire Station for an intensive Breathing Apparatus (BA) cellar casualty rescue simulation! 🥽🔥
Working in dark, tight, and high-heat subterranean environments presents unique operational challenges. Joint exercises like this allow us to hone our search-and-rescue techniques, test communication systems, and ensure seamless teamwork between stations under realistic pressure.
Training for complex scenarios ensures we stay sharp, ready, and fully prepared to protect our local communities when real emergencies strike. 🚒💨

Our Community Risk Management Plan (CRMP) sets out our plans for the future. Earlier this year, we asked our communities, partners and employees what matters most to them, and we've used their feedback to develop our draft plan.

As we move into the second phase of our consultation, we'd like to hear your views on the community risks we've identified and how we intend to prevent and respond to them.

Today is expected to be the hottest day of the week across Lancashire, and we’re asking everyone to take extra care.

Disposable BBQs can quickly get out of control in hot, dry conditions and may start grass fires, please avoid using them. If you’re heading out, pack a picnic instead and enjoy the day safely.

Open water may look tempting in this heat, but please don’t enter. Cold water shock can affect anyone, even strong swimmers, and can happen within seconds.

We’re here if you need us, and we want everyone to enjoy the day safely without putting themselves or others at risk.

Please share this message and make sure your children are aware of the risks too.

Have you lost a key in Preesall?
A lone key was handed into the station last week after being found in the immediate vicinity of Preesall Fire Station.
If you think it might be yours, please drop us a message directly on this page or call by the station during our drill nights to identify it.
To make sure it gets back to the right person, we will just need you to provide a brief description of what on the tag.

Warmer temperatures and spring sunshine is beautiful but it brings a higher wildfire risk.

Our crews have already attended several incidents, including the one pictured on Scout Moor. Please take extra care when outdoors: no disposable BBQs, no careless smoking, and always take your rubbish with you.

If you see a fire, call 999 immediately and give the location, size, terrain, and any other details to help crews respond quickly.
