The road closure for Oakwood Drive, Prestbury Ward, Prestbury, SK10 4EX is part of a bulk order that is due to be sealed on 6th August 2026

The closure will be in place to complete installation of toby boxes, duct tees and floorducting and are scheduled to take place between 31st August 2026 to 10th September 2026.

The Parish Council would like to make residents aware that Cheshire East Council have set up a dedicated website to keep everyone informed about the New Local Plan. The link is attached.

Details of the Local Plan Scoping Consulation, which is open until 5pm on the 1st September, can be found along with the link to respond.

There is also a link to the site submissions from the recent 'Call for Sites'. It should be noted that these are currently just an unfiltered list of sites submitted to Cheshire East Council and no assessment as to suitability for development has yet taken place. The Parish Council will remain diligent in monitoring the progress of Cheshire East's work around this and we have been informed that consultaion will take place in 2027 around any sited they propose to take forward into the plan.

A dedicated page has also been set-up on the Parish Council wesbite where we will post key information along with Parish Council actions and responses to the various consultations that will be coming our way. (www.prestbury.gov.uk)

Cheshire East Council are currently putting together a new Local Plan. As part of this, they currently have a scoping consultation underway. The consultation is around the plan process and is seeking views on what the plan should contain and how future engagement should be carried out.

Prestbury Parish Council urge residents to complete this consultation and use your voice to give Cheshire East Council your views.

The Parish Council will also be responding and the item will be on the agenda of our planning committee on the 19th August, 9:30am, Prestbury Village Hall.

Our judges will be out and about in the village next week, but there's still time to enter!
If you've created a floral display, hanging baskets, planters or other planting that's visible from the public highway, we'd love you to take part.
Whether your display is large or small, every entry helps make Prestbury a more colourful and welcoming place for everyone to enjoy.
