Tarmac Update
Monday 24th - Greenfield Road closed 19:00hrs. Planed surface, swept carriageway and works ceased at 02:00hrs. To reduce noise no joints were cut and no jack hammers were used. Agreed to carry out this work Tuesday daytime with traffic management using stop/go system for traffic.
Tuesday 25th – Prep work throughout the afternoon with road open, (ironwork/sweeping/cutting joints) Traffic Management covered isolated work zones
Last Night – 160ton of tar laid from war memorial down past high school entrance all the way to Clatterbrune speed bump. Works completed 00:30hrs and offsite shortly after.
Wednesday 26th - This afternoon –
Prep work on last stretch from Clatterbrune to roundabout. Traffic Management to manage vehicles with road open to all.
Tonight – 100ton to complete surfacing works, tar on for 19:00hrs and predicted (weather permitting) completion before midnight.
Thursday 27th - Tomorrow night –
Lining works and joint sealing, final sweep, gullies emptied and remove all plant and materials from site.
Please note that there are thunderstorms forecast so all this could slightly change but we will do our best to get done.
