In May we were mobilised a total of 44 times, to a variety of incidents such as 👇

Building fires
Standby duties at other stations
Fires in the open
Road Traffic Collisions
Special service calls.

It was the busiest month for the on call crew for a couple of years.

We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds. You must:

• Be at least 18 years old
• Live or work approximately 5 minutes of an on-call station
• Be physically fit and able to pass our fitness and medical assessments
• No previous firefighting experience is needed, full training is provided.

To coincide with the recruitment process, Bamber Bridge Fire Station are going to run an open day on Saturday 13th June from 10.00- 12.00.

The open day is being run to help all potential candidates through the recruitment process. On the day you will be able to:

- Meet existing On-call firefighters and speak to them about their experiences

- Practice drills needed for the next stage of the application, such as: equipment carry, casualty drag, ladder extending.

- Receive guidance on how to complete each section of the recruitment process.

- Ask any further questions you may have.
