Blooming Amazing: New planters installed by Longridge Town Council

Longridge Town Council are in the process of placing eleven new containers with fresh planting, set to brighten streets, gateways and public spaces right across Longridge.

The planters will be placed along the new “Longridge Loop” – a 5 mile accessible walking trail in and around Longridge and will help create a more welcoming and attractive place for everyone to enjoy.

The funding for these planters is via Section 106 (S106) and has been released to Longridge Town Council by RVBC.

S106 funding refers to financial contributions made by developers to local authorities under the Section 106 agreement.

New outdoor gym equipment installed thanks to the Shared Prosperity and Jubilee Fund

Longridge Town Council have installed brand-new outdoor gym equipment on Longridge recreation ground. The equipment is free to use, accessible and makes sure there are no barriers to being able to enjoy regular exercise and staying healthy with the fully interactive equipment.

The cost of purchase and installation of the equipment has been funded from the UK Shared Prosperity and jubilee fund.

Local residents are encouraged to go along and have a go.

🌿 Longridge Parkinson’s Support Meeting 🌿
Please could you share the poster above to help spread the word about an upcoming Parkinson’s support meeting at Longridge Library.
I have linked in with Parkinson’s UK - Sue Wallace, and Longridge Library to explore developing a local support group for people affected by Parkinson’s. Currently, the nearest groups are based in Preston or Clitheroe, so we are keen to create something more accessible within our community.

📍 Longridge Library, Berry Lane
💬 This will be a decision-making meeting, giving people the opportunity to shape future sessions.

Nothing beats the smell of freshly mowed grass and the feeling of a tidy well maintained space.

With the Towneley Gardens freshly cut it’s an ideal time to relax in the sun on the new picnic tables funded by Longridge Town Council.
