We've been asked to pass a lovely message of thanks on from a lady in need yesterday up on the summit. Kindness goes a long way 💚
"Hi there,
Today I was at the park and broke my ankle. The Bowland mountain rescue together with Preston ambulance came along to take me from the summit on the stretcher.I wanted to say thank you to the park cafe for advising on the car staying at the cark park until later hours.
I also met a guy called Andy who helped me with the 911 call and exact location and brought water from the cafe. And then lady called Joanne and her son Elliot who stopped and treated me to a drink and not left my side until the rescue and ambulance arrived.
I was wondering if you could post this and help me say thank you to all that helped as it would have been so much harder without them, especially that I was walking with my 9 year old son.
Much appreciated, Kasia"

We have a new addition to our play area at Beacon fell!. Evie and Lucas pictured here are the first to explore our " Pus Moth caterpillar " sculpture. The installation made from a solid oak branch was created by renowned artist and sculptor Thompson Dagnell who has created other works on the park such as our stone snake and Orme sight near the visitor centre.

ZERO TOLERANCE TO BBQs AND FIRES

We've had lots of instances recently of disposable BBQs lit in the woods, one resulting in the fire service being called after a smouldering BBQ was disposed of inappropriately in a wooden bin.

Can we please remind all our visitors there is a zero tolerance to BBQs and fires at Beacon Fell. Any people found disregarding this rule will be asked to leave.

We have a dedicated BBQ site at Carwags Picnic Area, equipped with a stone BBQ area, fire buckets and water. Please see directions in comments below.

Please immediately report any sights of BBQs, fire or smoke via this FB page or the visitor centre.

Thank you
