Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge for Heartbeat ⛰️⛰️⛰️

A huge thank you to Mark, who is already well underway with his training as he prepares to take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge for Heartbeat on Saturday 25th July 2026! 🥾

Mark won't be taking on this challenge alone – he has assembled an amazing team of 15–20 individuals, all coming together to tackle the iconic route and raise vital funds for Heartbeat. What an incredible show of teamwork and community spirit! ❤️

The team has been putting in the miles over recent months, with Mark completing an impressive series of training walks including:
✅ Darwen Tower – 6 miles
✅ Rivington – 8 miles
✅ Grizedale Forest – 12 miles
✅ Coniston Old Man – 10 miles
✅ Pooley Bridge – 8 miles
✅ Scafell Pike – 6 miles

And he isn't stopping there! There are still four more training walks planned before the big day, including an incredible walk from Yew Tree, Walton-le-Dale to Blackpool Tower. 💪

Thanks to the generosity of his supporters, Mark has already raised £635, and his workplace has kindly agreed to match fund £250 – a fantastic boost to his fundraising total! 🙌

Aimee is taking on this years Scottish Half Marathon in East Lothian on Sunday 16th August in aid of Heartbeat 🏃‍♀️

Aimee said -

“My mum has been attending Heartbeat for almost a year while living with heart failure and awaiting surgery. The support, classes, and community have made an incredible difference to her health, fitness, and confidence. ❤️

Heartbeat does amazing work across the North West, helping so many people just like my Mum. This is my small way of giving something back to a charity that has already given us so much.” 💕

Are you looking for a role where your work genuinely changes lives?

At Heartbeat, we support over 1,000 people across the North West living with cardiac, stroke and pulmonary conditions through exercise rehabilitation, education and ongoing support. We're now looking for a passionate and motivated individual to join our fundraising team and help us grow our impact even further. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced fundraiser seeking a new challenge, or for someone with excellent people skills, creativity and enthusiasm who is looking to develop a career in the charity sector.

As part of our fundraising team, you will:
• Build and maintain relationships with supporters, businesses and community groups
• Plan and deliver fundraising events and campaigns
• Identify opportunities to increase income and awareness
• Help strengthen Heartbeat's presence across the communities we serve

We are looking for someone who is:
✔ Passionate about making a difference
✔ A confident communicator and relationship-builder
✔ Organised, proactive and creative
✔ Eager to contribute to a growing and ambitious charity

What we offer:
- 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
- Full-time (35 hours per week), permanent contract
- The opportunity to play a key role in helping Heartbeat continue transforming lives

🚨 Fresh Produce Alert! 🚨

Our wonderful volunteer Alan ‘Titchmarsh’ Turner, has been busy growing these beautiful radishes down at the Heartbeat allotment! 🫜

They are now available to purchase in Heartbeat’s reception! 🌱✨

Fun fact: Don't ditch the tops, radish leaves are edible and packed with flavour! 😋
