Yesterday we said goodbye to our lovely Domestic, Michael Tunstall . 💙

We’re so sorry to see you leave, and you’ll be massively missed by everyone at Wellburn. Thank you for all your hard work, kindness and the memories you’ve made with us.

Birthday Girl 🎂✨

Today our birthday girl Margaret wanted to spend her birthday having an Indian for lunch, so we hopped on the bus to Newcastle! 🚌

When we arrived at the restaurant, Dave’s Hot Chicken caught Margaret’s eye, so that’s what she chose! 🍗 Margaret said the food brought back lovely memories of visiting family in the USA. 🇺🇸❤️

After lunch, Margaret enjoyed some coffee, a little shopping and plenty of people-watching before heading home.

But the birthday surprises didn’t stop there! Margaret was delighted to receive a surprise visit from her brother, who had travelled all the way from the USA to see her. 🥰🇺🇸

Hi-de-hi, campers ☀️🤗

Today wellburn has has been transformed in to a holiday camp, private beach, bar, on site gift shop and dance hall!

No holiday camp would be complete with a knobbliest knees and most Glamorous gran competition. 🤣😍

Today we have visited the memory café in ryton ☕

We spent the morning looking through local history books of the North East, over a Cuppa listening to and sharing happy memories that we have of the North East.🖤 🤍

To end a lovely morning, we joined in with a fun dance class. Lots of fun and movement.💃

After lunch pam soaked up the sun on a local walk to the village shop, buying some treats to enjoy later on this evening.🌞

On the way home from our walk, we stopped at the local book exchange inside the phone box, grabbing 2 great books to read. ☎️

We kept nice and cool by dipping our toes in to the paddling pool.

Feeling the warmth of the sun on our bodies can help towards easing those aches and pains. While the cool water leave us to feel refreshed and rather soothing 🙂

This afternoon we enjoyed a delicious afternoon tea 😍😋. The cakes were very tasty! Went down a treat.

🌸 A Day of Reminiscing & Sensory Fun 🌸

This morning, we enjoyed using photo cards to reminisce about famous places and familiar faces. It was lovely hearing everyone’s memories, stories and conversations as we travelled down memory lane together. 📸💭

This afternoon, we made the most of the sunshine with a sensory activity outdoors, exploring all the different textures of our sensory mats. ☀️👐 Those who preferred to stay cool indoors were also able to join in and enjoy the sensory experience.

A lovely day filled with memories, conversation, sensory exploration and connection. 💕
