VOTE FOR YOUR LOCAL THURMASTON COUNCILLOR Cllr Brenda Seaton ALONGSIDE MARK LOWE & GINA JACKSON ON THURSDAY MAY 4TH 2023.

If you have chosen to vote by post in the Charnwood local elections on May 4th, the forms will be popping through your letterbox this week.
I am honoured to have represented Thurmaston in Charnwood as your borough councillor and would very much like to continue for another term.
I try to be active in village life. I am a Trustee of Silverdale Communty Centre, a trustee of Thurmaston community library, a parish councillor and a governor of Church Hill Junior School as well as an active member of Thurmaston Action Group.
Thurmaston is my home, my children’s home and my grandchildren’s home and I help organise events within the village like the carnival and the recent Easter egg hunt as well as helping out at the food bank held at St Micheal’s and all Angel’s Church.
Many will know me through reading my regular article in the Thurmaston Times where I try to keep the readers informed of what is happening in their village, what is planned and what I have been working towards. Many connect with me when joining me in litter picks, taking my grandchildren to school or just walking the dog.
Because I live in the village I am easily contacted and quick to respond to residents issues and concerns. I may not always agree and may not be able to ‘fix’ the issue but I will always try my hardest to mitigate the problem.
I wish to continue to serve Thurmaston but to do that I need you to vote for me, Brenda Seaton, either by post or at the polling station on May 4th.
Thank you for reading this.

Introducing our newest addition to the Thurmaston team, Gina Jackson, who will be standing to be your local Thurmaston candidate on 4th May 2023.

Gina says: “I have lived in Thurmaston all of my life and attended local schools in the area whilst growing up.

I have worked locally, including GE Lighting, where I met my late husband who sadly passed away in 2020.

Following the passing of my husband, the support I received from not only my friends and family, but also others residing in Thurmaston, highlights the great community spirit we hold in our village. It makes me immensely proud to live in Thurmaston, and I’d be grateful to be given an opportunity to represent Thurmaston and work alongside long-standing councillors: Cllr Brenda Seaton and Mark Lowe.

In my spare time, you’ll find me at one of the two horse riding clubs that I am a member of, where I regularly help out at shows and compete at a local level, or you’ll find me growing tomatoes which I use to make chutney!”
