⭐️NEW THEME ALERT: CELEBRATING WOMEN AND GIRLS⭐️

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, the library has been filled with books that either celebrate a particular woman/ girl or have a woman/ girl as the main character. For adults, titles include: ‘The Windsor Knot’ by S. J. Bennett and ‘Your Neighbour’s Wife’ by Tony Parsons. For young adults, titles include: ‘The Potion Diaries’ by Amy Alward and ‘The Crow’ by Kiera Cass. For children, titles include: ‘Lightning Girl’ by Alesha Dixon and Katy Birchall and ‘Sleeping Beauty’ by Josephine Collins.

⭐️NEW THEME ALERT: CELEBRATING WOMEN AND GIRLS⭐️

With Mother’s Day just around the corner, the library has been filled with books that either celebrate a particular woman/ girl or have a woman/ girl as the main character. For adults, titles include: ‘Surprise Me’ by Sophie Kinsella and ‘The Seven Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle’ by Stuart Turton. For young adults, titles include: ‘Between the Lines’ by Jodi Picoult and Samantha Van Leer and ‘Inkheart’ by Cornelia Funke. For children, titles include: ‘Elmer and the Rainbow’ by David McKee and ‘Indiana Bones’ by Harry Heape.

‼️NOTICE: Due to the winter weather, the library has had to have some repairs made recently. The bottom of the library has been screwed onto the base with some metal brackets, but that has left some sharp ends of the screws going through to the bottom library shelf. Please take care when taking books out as I don’t want anyone to get scratched. I am going to figure out a solution to make this part of the library safer shortly🙏

The Little Vinall Park Library has been restocked with a variety of fantastic reads. For adults, titles include: ‘The Dark Part of Me’ by Belinda Burns and ‘Chaos’ by Patricia Cornwell. For children, titles include: ‘Horrid Henry’ by Francesca Simon and ‘Giraffes Can’t Dance’ by Giles Andreae.

Start the new year by visiting the library and choosing a few books to enjoy during these wintry days 🥶🧣🧤

🎅📚 LITTLE ELLISON WAY LIBRARY UPDATE 📚🎅

The Little Ellison Way Library has now been stocked up with Christmas books 🎄 Adult books include: ‘Christmas at Battersea’ by Battersea Cats and Dogs Home and ‘Murder Under the Mistletoe’ by the Reverend Richard Coles. For children, titles include: ‘We Wish You a Merry Christmas’ by Chris Riddell and ‘We’re Going on an Elf Chase’ by Martha Mumford.

Sending a big thank you to all of you who have donated to the libraries this year and to those who have taken the time to visit the libraries and borrow a book or two 💚 Wishing you a Merry Christmas ☃️

NOTICE: When filling the library yesterday, I noticed that the main box is coming away from the base. We will be doing some emergency repairs to the box over the coming days so, in the meantime, please take care when opening and closing the library. Thank you 🙏

🎄📚LITTLE VINALL PARK LIBRARY UPDATE 📚🎄

🛷Christmas has arrived at the Little Vinall Park Library! 🎅

If you’re out and about this weekend, please consider stopping by Vinall Park and choosing a festive book to read this season. There are a variety of children’s books to choose from, such as: ‘Horrid Henry’s Christmas Cracker’ by Francesca Simon and ‘The Polar Express’ by Chris Van Allsburg. Adult books are a bit thin on the ground for this Christmas theme, but titles include: ‘Christmas Shopaholic’ by Sophie Kinsella and ‘The Nightshift Before Christmas’ by Adam Kay.

🐞As per my previous post, there are some ladybird nests in the library currently, so please do be careful of them when taking books out 🙏

📚 LITTLE VINALL PARK LIBRARY - NEW BOOKS ALERT! 📚

I have cleared out the Halloween books that were in the library and have added a great set of books for you all to enjoy. For adults, titles include: ‘Wicked!’ by Jilly Cooper and ‘A Tiny Bit Marvellous’ by Dawn French. For children, titles include: ‘The Incredible Adventures of Gaston the Dog’ by Michael Rosen and ‘How Dinosaurs Really Work!’ by Alan Snow.

Whilst emptying the library, I came across some fluffy insect nests and two separate groups of ladybirds on the top shelf (one on the left hand side and one on the right)🐞 I don’t want to disturb them so have placed books in front of them. Please be careful when looking through the library 🙏

📚 NEW BOOKS ADDED! 📚

Today, I have added a variety of books to the Little Ellison Way Library to keep you reading between now and Christmas 😊 For the adults, titles include ‘The Lovely Bones’ by Alice Sebol and ‘The Enemy’ by Lee Child. For the kiddies, titles include ‘Billionaire Boy’ by David Walliams and ‘Dear Zoo’ by Rod Campbell (a firm favourite in my house 😊)🦁🐘

In December, the library will feature a range of Christmas/ winter themed books for you all to enjoy 🎄🎅 If you would like to donate any Christmas/ winter themed books ready for the festive season, please email me on: [email protected]

📚LITTLE VINALL PARK LIBRARY UPDATE📚

A huge thank you to two local boys who have decorated some Halloween decorations for the Little Vinall Park Library this half term 😊 They are a lovely addition to the library, where you can pick up a spooky book before Halloween this Friday 🎃

FRIENDLY REQUEST: Although we are very happy for the library users to borrow/ keep the books from the library, please can you leave the Halloween decorations so that all users can enjoy them. Unfortunately, some Halloween decorations have gone missing from our library this year and we are keen to keep costs down and reuse them next year. Thank you for your understanding 🙏

Titles include: Andrea Mara’s ‘Someone in the Attic’, Olivie Blake’s ‘The Atlas Six’ and a range of R. L. Stine’s Goosebump series.

If you fancy a bit of magic or enjoy the thrill of reading a horror story, why not head over to the library this weekend and take a look!
