We as a Parish Council are constantly working with the local police and other partners to ensure Rainhill is a safe place to live.
Rolling statistics and figures continue to show that this IS working and Rainhill is a SAFE place.
Unfortunately we do have incidents of Anti Social Behaviour and we fully appreciate how impactive these are on residents.
As an example for the whole of our Parish area this month's crime figures show only 5 reports of anti social behaviour, made to the police during May.
We have a disproportionate balance of social media inputs and opinions balanced against reported incidents.
We need everyone who sees ASB taking place to report it to the police. Even if it’s the same incident the more people who report what they’re seeing the more resources we will get from the police.
RAINHILL IS SAFE but let's ensure we continued to get the support we require when needed. Report ASB to the police, this allows statistics to impact on resources. Our PCSO is working really hard for us all but added police assistance comes with reported crime.
Please continue to contact Cllr Sean Fletcher ([email protected]) who is identifying areas of continued concerns. Additionally please report incidents directly to the police urgently by phoning 999 or non urgent incidents via the Merseyside police 101 and their Facebook Contact Centre https://www.facebook.com/share/1D7X66TXd1/?mibextid=wwXIfr
You can also make an anonymous report via Crimestoppers - 0800 555 111.
We must continue to love where we live and to do that we must work together. Reporting incidents creates support that ultimately creates a strong community.
