Cliftonville has once again shown the strength and decency of our community and a clear rejection of the politics of hate and division.

Congratulations to Rob Yates on his result in the Cliftonville by-election.

Thank you to local people in Cliftonville who opened their doors and spoke honestly about their lives. People want a stronger future with real opportunities for young people, better access to healthcare, improved education, more community activity, and action to bring down household bills, with real concern about rising energy prices and the need for cheaper, community energy.

Residents also spoke about the need for better buses and public transport, properly joined up services on housing and social care, and tackling parking pressures in busy areas.

Let’s be clear. Reform and the Conservatives have left our communities worse off. Cliftonville deserves better, and these concerns must now be addressed locally.

Cliftonville needs an economy that supports local businesses all year round and works for a coastal community.

Thank you to everyone who took part in this election.

🚌 £78 MILLION for buses in Kent… but Cliftonville is being left behind.

The Labour government has stepped up with major funding to improve local bus services across Kent.

So why is Thanet getting the least?

🔊 Under Reform at Kent County Council, the areas that need investment most — Cliftonville, Beacon Road, and Thanet — are being let down.

Where our communities have

* Lower car ownership
* Higher need for buses
* Public transport is essential

Yet Reform has chosen not to prioritise them.

Cliftonville deserves:
✔️ Reliable buses
✔️ Better connections
✔️ Fair funding

Because better buses don’t just move people they create opportunity.

🚍 Reform have let Cliftonville down. It’s time for change.

Great news for Thanet! 🎉

Thanet District Council is set to receive £270,000 to upgrade playgrounds in some of the most deprived areas of our community. This investment reflects a clear commitment to giving children the best start in life.

Labour are lifting hundreds of thousands of children out of poverty by lifting the two-child benefit cap, rolling out Best Start Family Hubs and free breakfast clubs, making record investments in SEND, and expanding access to free school meals — supporting better health outcomes in our communities.

While others talk, Labour is delivering real change in our communities.

On 9th April, vote for safer, happier neighbourhoods.
Vote Joanne Bright for Cliftonville.
