Thursday evening TS Bulldog hosted our monthly divisions to celebrate the achievements of our ship's company.

We were delighted to welcome the Mayor of Ramsgate, the Mayor's Consort and the Town Sargent for from Ramsgate to the unit.

Thank you to the Mayor and Consort who took part in uniform inspections and delivered a talk to the cadets about local government. The cadets were engaged throughout the session and found it incredibly insightful.

We had many awards issued by Madam Mayor including 4 junior badges for their red unit module, 3 promotions to Junior Cadet First Class, 1 Solo Drumming award, one Air Rifle award and a celebration of staff promotion. 😃⚓🇬🇧

Another great shooting training day for cadets from Ramsgate & Broadstairs Sea Cadets and Margate Sea Cadets.

Cadets demonstrated excellent focus and professionalism, learning correct range procedures, concentration techniques, and the importance of responsibility in a controlled and supportive environment.

NOTE: Cadets are taught weapons handling skills as part of a structured program of supervised training that emphasizes safe and responsible use. All cadets handling these rifles are under the supervision of qualified skills at arms instructors.

Well done to all cadets for their commitment and positive attitude, and thank you to our instructors and volunteers for ensuring the training was both safe and successful.

TS Bulldog's ships company had the honour of having members of the crew from the Full Circle expedition on board this evening.

The Full Circle Expedition has been organised by the Veteran Sailing Charity Turn to Starboard and the Invictus Games Birmingham 2027 team.

Full Circle is a 12-week sailing expedition carrying the Invictus Games Flag around the UK ahead of Birmingham 2027. Two traditionally rigged tall ships – Pellew and Spirit of Falmouth – will undertake the 2,000-nautical-mile journey, calling at 22 ports across all four nations.

What a brilliant few months we have had.

First a huge thank you to Thanet District Council for donating chrome books to the unit. The cadets will be getting a lot of use out of them soon while studying the RYA Essential Navigation course.

On Tuesday we had a brilliant evening at the unit as we welcomed TS Jamaica onboard. It was fantastic to see both sets of cadets training together and sharing skills.

A huge thank‑you to PO Redgate, who joined us as a guest speaker and delivered an inspiring talk on Royal Navy careers. He also encouraged teamwork and leadership with a few team games that all enjoyed. Our cadets were buzzing afterwards. Great teamwork, great energy, great night.
