Reports of an RTA Hullbridge Road outside Lubards Farm.

Emergency Services in attendance.

We will update ASAP as to whether the road is open and access to businesses.

Update 10.55 no through traffic on Hullbridge Road so please use alternative routes.

Access to all businesses on Lubards Farm remains open.

On the 5th of October a Facebook post raised concerns about crime on Wolsey Park, in particular vehicle theft.

The Parish Council have always liased with the Neighbourhood Policing Team and have previously raised concerns regarding suggested crime spikes and asked for Crime Stats to verify information, these have always been provided. Following the FB post we made a request for the entire twelve month period.

We are now in receipt of figures for the twelve months October 25 to October 26 and we are able to confirm, for the Downhall and Rawreth area, there were 13 Theft of Motor Vehicle offences, only two are linked to locations on the Wolsey Park Estate.

In addition there were 3 Theft from Motor Vehicle offences, none of these offences were recorded on the Wolsey Park Estate.

We hope this verified information reassures residents on Wolsey Park that the suggested figures of "25 vehicle thefts" was incorrect and that the verified figures above help those residents left feeling extremely concerned by the post

The Parish Council has always urged residents to report all crime to the Police, and this has not changed.

15.15 update
Essex and Suffolk Water are working hard at both the locations reported this morning, temporary traffic lights are operational on London Road by BP and the A1245 has a lane closure, as a result traffic congestion is building around Rawreth, there is also a lot of surface water on the roads.

Please add extra time for journeys, and try and be patient, we've witnessed a lot of anger and frustration this afternoon.

Also please listen and look out for Emergency Services trying to respond to incidents, please move out their way safely and quickly as every second counts when they're on Blues and Two's 🚒🚑 🚓

Lastly, thank you to the Essex and Suffolk Water teams who've been working on both these major leaks 💦

Delays westbound on Rawreth Lane and southbound on the A1245 due to a burst water main at the junction where Rawreth Lane joins the A1245.

Please take extra care on the A1245 as there is a large volume of surface water.

In addition there is another burst main on the A129 by BP, there is a lot of surface water on the road so please take care and please be mindful of pedestrians as plumes of water are coming off vehicles. All businesses are open as usual.

Statement from Rawreth Parish Council 12th October 2026

Rawreth Parish Council are aware that Rochford District Council are currently awaiting a response from Central Government in relation to their drafted Regulation 19 Document.

Central Government have placed a holding direction and have asked to see a number of pieces of evidence in relation to the Regulation 19 Document.

Once the response has been received from Central Government and Rochford District Council have fully appraised all Town and Parish Council's within the Rochford District what is stated in the response Rawreth Parish Council will, if necessary call an Extraordinary Meeting.

The response from Central Government and the relaying of that response is fundamental in enabling the Parish Council to lawfully consider and decide what , if any course of action needs to be taken.

Full details of any Extraordinary Meeting called will be displayed on our website, notice board and social media platforms.

Congratulations to the BASICS Essex Team on winning the Pride of Essex Unsung Hero Award this evening 👏

BASICS Essex lost their Head Quarters, vital equipment and one of their response vehicles in the Rettendon Explosion in July this year so this award is so well deserved as their team of volunteer Doctors, Paramedics and Advanced Clinicians have continued to respond to requests from East of England Ambulance Service bringing advanced, life saving care to Emergencies across Essex.

Well done and congratulations 🌟👏

The Unsung Hero for 2026 sponsored by Essex Freemasons goes to such a group of individual heroes - BASICS Essex.

BASICS Essex is an extraordinary team of volunteer doctors and paramedics who respond at the request of the East of England Ambulance Service, bringing advanced, life-saving care to emergencies across Essex.

Since 1973, they have made themselves available day and night, often arriving first at homes, roadsides or remote locations. Their expertise enables them to provide enhanced pain relief and, when necessary, emergency surgical interventions before a patient reaches hospital. They also deliver vital medical training, strengthening the skills and confidence of others.

This essential service receives no government funding and relies entirely on donations.

The nominator wrote: a Team of Pride Award would honour their courage and compassion, raise their profile and help ensure these quiet heroes can continue saving lives when every second matters.

Presented on Tuesday 6th October 2026, at a special star spangled award night hosted at Anglia Ruskin University Chelmsford.
