So this morning, as promised we've started to clear the vegetation encroaching onto the pavement along Rawreth Lane.

This is the first phase of work but it's already made a difference for pedestrians.

In the next phase land slippage will be scrapped off to reinstate the pavement back to it's original width.

Thank you to all the residents who spoke to us while we were out, especially the gentleman who told us we were his "favourite people" as he walks along Rawreth Lane daily and was constantly having to step into the road as the pavement was so overgrown.

Our thanks today to team member Kris on the strimmer who worked flat out in the sun to ensure minimal disruption to the traffic (the queues were due to the temporary 🚦not us πŸ˜‚)

You asked us to help and we promised we would.

Today marks the 15th anniversary of the end of Operation TELIC, remembering the lives lost and those affected and paying tribute to the professionalism and dedication of the men and women who served.

Tragically, 179 British Armed Forces personnel lost their lives in Op TELIC. Thousands more were wounded, many with life-changing physical injuries. Others experienced emotional or mental ill-health as a result of their service in Iraq.

We remember how much we ask of our Armed Forces, and we acknowledge their dedication to service.

Rawreth Parish Council, honouring all who served and continue to serve 🌺

We are aware of a fallen lower branch in Church Road.

Our maintenance team work with us two days per week and aren't scheduled to work with us today but as soon as they are back into Rawreth later the branch will be removed.

In the mean time, if you use Church Road please be mindful and drive at an appropriate speed when passing.

We always like to try and finish the week on a positive, and what a week it's been.

Our Maintenance Team have been working incredibly hard at the Community Garden and we hope you'll agree, what an amazing difference they've made to the pathways.

We've got a little bit more scrapping back to do then a top surface of fine granite will be laid and compacted next week.

If you use the garden please be extra careful as there are still a few areas of uneven path, we placed barriers and cones to mark these.

It's been a very busy week for our incredible team, and we'd like to give them a big thank you for all their hard work.
