πŸ† Charvil Heroes Winners πŸ†

Congratulations to the winners of the Charvil Heroes Awards 2026!

The winners were announced at last week's Community Connect event.

πŸ… Charvil Hero: Beverly Lines
Beverly has made an amazing contribution to our village through her work as an Early Years teacher at Charvil Piggott Primary School. She has taught countless children with love, patience and respect. She was a source of great comfort for so many parents whilst their children took their first steps into education. Mrs lines worked tirelessly to give every single child the best experience at school.

πŸ₯‡ Hero Group: Econet Charvil Conservation Group
The group has a small but dedicated core, and they are completely unheralded but they turn up rain or shine to improve the area around the Hawthorns Park in Charvil. They are stopping it from becoming completely swamped by invasive species and invasive weeds, and the families that use the area are generally blissfully unaware.

πŸ₯ˆ Runner up Group: AFC Charvil
The coaches and committee of AFC Charvil work tirelessly to ensure everyone at the club enjoys weekly football matches and training sessions. Lots of meetings and preparation goes on behind the scenes to ensure the team is inclusive and encourage players to join from across the area.

⭐ Outstanding Contribution Award: Rob Jones
This year the Council wanted to recognise the outstanding contribution made by Rob over many years, researching and writing the Charvil Neighbourhood Plan, which was formally adopted via referendum earlier this month. HIs dedicated work getting it ready for approval for adoption has given the residents of Charvil the power to influence the future development of the area and to receive greater financial input to the immediate area from any future developments.

Congratulations to all our winners!
