BASLOW ROAD PARKING- e-petition
Following complaints from residents about parking on both sides of Baslow Road, Winnersh Parish Council requested that WBC give consideration to installing additional double yellow lines one one side of the road to prevent cars parking on both sides, causing issues with traffic flow and safety.

WBC has stated that Baslow Road is not showing as a road safety concern that needs engineering intervention at this time.
Winnersh Parish Council has subsequently created an e-petition to escalate the issues with WBC.

Winnersh Parish Council are pleased to announce the full details of this year’s Winnersh Summer Fete. The fete will be held on Saturday 20th June at Bearwood Recreation Ground with a number of firm favourites returning alongside new attractions for 2026! The fete runs from 1pm-4.30pm and as always entry is free and there is free parking available onsite too.

This year the parish council has chosen the two charities who will share the proceeds from the fete, Wokingham Men's Shed and Younger People with Dementia

This year we have a number of sponsors of the event, with a big thanks to Nirvana Spa and Hamblin Watermains who are our platinum sponsors, and we have also generously received support from Club India, Adam Colvin at Avocado Property - Estate & Letting Agents Prospect Estate Agents Legacy Law Limited Roy Wood Transits Limited and Winnersh Pharmacy and Clinic. Without such wonderful sponsors we wouldn’t be able to put on such a fabulous event.

This year we have a fantastic raffle with over 25 prizes all donated by local businesses. Up for grabs this year are vouchers for Nirvana Spa, Ascot Racecourse, Wellington Country Park, Cotswold Wildlife Park, Siren Brewery and many more!

There will be 60 stalls showcasing local businesses, charities, organisations and groups alongside our traditional arena display. In this year’s arena, Bearwood Primary School are returning with the annual maypole dancing display and we have a performance from The Dance Zone and new for 2026 there will be BMX stunt demonstrations from the 3SIXTY Bicycle Displays and a routine from Legacy Allstars Cheerleading.

We are very pleased to welcome back Circus Scene, Basil and Crew Mobile Farm and the climbing wall from Dinton Activity Centre alongside bouncy castles and soft play in the hall for under 5s. All the attractions are free to use and enjoy.

Refreshments this year come from 1st Winnersh Scouts with their annual BBQ, an ice cream van, Jojo's food truck will be here with St Marys Church will be serving tea and coffee in the hall. We also see a return of licenced bar The Rollin' Inn Mobile bar for a second year who will be here all day and into the evening.

We have an exciting evening line up this year with live music. To expand on the success of our first evening band performance last year, this year we have two bands playing between 4.30pm-8.30pm. We are very happy to welcome The Salty Dogs and The Bootlegs Band for the evening entertainment. The Rollin’ Bar will stay into the evening alongside JoJo’s Food Truck.
