Well done to all our Year 12 students who exhibited their Extended Project Qualification work at our EPQ Marketplace in the main hall last term.

The EPQ gives Sixth Form students the chance to take learning into their own hands. It allows students to explore a subject of personal interest while developing valuable skills in research, organisation and independent study.

There were some impressive and fascinating studies this year including...
"Is imprisonment an effective way to deter crime? A case study of the UK, US and Finland"
"To what extent did changes in women's fashion in the UK, from the Victorian era to the present day, reflect wider shifts in women's social status"
"Do the environmental benefits of AI outweigh the environmental costs?"
"How far can it be argued that ADHD can be induced by an intake of artificial additives or preservatives in children?"
"Can a drone recover and return after a collision, without any physical human interaction, over 250m away from the operator?"

Staff and students, including those at school for the Sixth Form Induction Day, were invited to visit the exhibition and speak to the students about their projects and their findings. All our EPQ students confidently presented their projects to all the exhibition visitors, and should be really proud of their achievements on their chosen projects!

Well done Year 12!

πŸ“šπŸŽ‰ Celebrating the Class of 2026! πŸŽ‰πŸ“š

We are incredibly proud of our Year 11 students at Little Heath School as they celebrate another year of outstanding GCSE results. This year's cohort achieved our strongest outcomes in recent years, with 58% of all grades at Grade 5 or above, 71% at Grade 4 or above, and 22% of all grades at Grades 7-9. Nearly half of students achieved a strong pass in both English and Maths, continuing the school's upward trend.

A special congratulations to our highest achievers, including students who secured multiple Grade 9s, as well as those who made exceptional progress and exceeded their target grades. Their success reflects the dedication, resilience and hard work they have shown throughout their time at Little Heath.

Thank you to our fantastic staff and supportive families who have helped make these achievements possible. We look forward to seeing many of our students continue their journey in the Sixth Form and wish all our leavers every success in their next steps. 🌟

🌟 We are incredibly proud of our Year 13 students and everything they have achieved during their time in Sixth Form. 🌟

Nearly half of all A level grades today were A-B*, while EVERY vocational student successfully passed their qualifications - with almost two thirds earning Distinction or Distinction*.

From university places at Oxford, UCL, LSE, Bristol, Bath and Manchester to exciting apprenticeships, employment and gap years, our students are beginning fantastic new chapters.

We pride ourselves on the strong relationships between students and staff, and that was evident today. We would like to thank teachers, leaders and support staff who have worked with our students throughout the last two years helping them to achieve excellent results.

We wish all students in our outgoing Year 13 the very best for their futures; we will enjoy following their successes! We hope they enjoy their celebrations and the rest of their summer break before embarking on their future lives.

Congratulations once again to the Class of 2026! πŸŽ‰
