Is your child due to start school in September 2027? Just one day to go before Sonning Common Primary School's first Open Morning on Thursday 15th October at 9:30am. Each event will include a welcome talk from our headteacher, Mrs Salmons, followed by a tour of the school with our Year 6 children. You are very welcome to bring your children with you.

Is your child due to start school in September 2027? Just one week to go before Sonning Common Primary School's first Open Morning on Thursday 15th October at 9:30am. Thank you so much to those who came along to the Sonning Common 10k on Sunday. We appreciate your support of our event – whether you ran, marshalled on the course, provided home-made cakes or helped in any way to make this event happen. It was wonderful to see runners warming up on the very track that the race has paid for. The work was only completed on Friday, using funds from the four years this race has been going. The children are excited to be able to “run like real athletes” – they gain so much from seeing such positive role models of all ages participating in this lovely local run. We hope we are growing the next generation of runners and volunteers!

On Thursday, our Year 5s enjoyed a fantastic Touch Rugby Festival at Shiplake College! After a brilliant masterclass, they took part in some exciting, closely fought matches against local schools.

Sonning Common 10K runners — come and see our track on Sunday!

Over the last three years, your support has helped us fund our track and we’re so grateful for everyone who has played a part.

If you’re taking part in this year’s Sonning Common 10k, come along and see what your support has helped make possible!

Our school run club has just gone up a notch! We regularly have more than 40 pupils taking part each week in our morning run club, and we’re already making great use of this fantastic resource.

It’s brilliant to see the track being used by our pupils and becoming such a valuable part of school life.
