Otis and I had a fantastic time visiting Redlands Primary School recently, where we chatted with some brilliant Year Two and Year Four pupils about what it means to be a responsible dog owner 🐶

We covered everything from the importance of picking up after our pups to why microchipping matters. The kids even got to scan Otis to check for his chip.

They also helped us choose an official name for the new Reading Animal Warden mascot. After some amazing suggestions, the randomly selected winning name was…Harley!

A huge thank you to the staff and students for such a warm welcome, and the lovely card for Otis and me.

Did you know that the following dogs are at an increased risk of heatstroke? 🥵

• Brachycephalic or flat-faced breeds
• Older dogs
• Puppies
• Overweight dogs
• Dogs with underlying health conditions
• Larger breeds
