Here is some of the resent learning that has been taking place within our under two's room Teddy bears room. We have been exploring the theme around the world. We have enjoyed using our physical skills and expressive arts and design skills to paint different flags from around the world. We went on a discovery walk (Understanding the world) to see different transport we could use to get around the world, we observed cars, the train and boats in the sea. 🌎🗺🌏🚗🚃🛥

We had a lovely visit in Nursery from Meg the Vet nurse and her special friend Wes the dog. 🐕

Meg explained what she does in her role and showed us how we check our fury friends.

We had ago a listening to Wes' heartbeat using the stethoscope.🩺

We used our communication and language skills to ask Meg questions and listened to what she had to say.

We used our understanding the world skills by exploring other people's roles in our community.

Wow we would like to share with you all the exciting visit we have had at nursery today from the firefighters 🚒. This was to extend our learning from our theme people who help us in our community. We used our:

physical development (gross motor skills) - to climb the steps to explore inside the fire engine🧯

Communication and language skills- to talk about the role of the firefighters🔥

Understanding the world- to explore and observe people's roles and responsibilities in the local community 👨‍🚒

Our Teddy bears 🐻 ( Under 2s room) have been making the most of the nice weather and getting out to explore our environment and community. We enjoyed being creative making letters to take to our local post box to post, we used our hand eye co-ordination to post the letters into the post box. We had a trip to our local park and used all our senses to explore the plants and to listen to the birds, observe the people, dogs, birds and flowers.
