Join our Art for Wellbeing – Learn to Paint Course at Tees Valley Womens Centre*, in conjunction with Redcar and Cleveland Adult Learning.

Ran by our popular tutor Jess, this welcoming women-only course is open to all abilities — whether you’re a complete beginner or already enjoy art as a hobby.

You’ll have the chance to:
✨ Learn to paint using acrylics and watercolours
✨ Explore artist techniques and colour mixing
✨ Build confidence and wellbeing through creativity
✨ Meet new people in a supportive environment
✨ Create your own handmade sketchbook filled with practical
artwork to take home

🧏‍♀️💙 Deaf Awareness Week 2026 💙🧏‍♂️

This week is Deaf Awareness Week, and this year’s theme is:

“Right to Understand – Together, We Break Barriers.”

The campaign highlights the importance of making everyday communication more accessible in places such as public transport, shops, workplaces, and community spaces.

We are incredibly proud of the work we do across the borough delivering Makaton sessions to help build more inclusive communities where everyone feels understood and valued.
