We’ve been busy recruiting new carers and celebrating all of our incredible foster carers during Foster Carers Fortnight.
The patience, care, and love you give truly doesn’t go unnoticed.

Redcar Beacon lit up magenta this week in recognition of Fostering Fortnight which runs from Monday 11th until Sunday 24th May.
This years theme focuses on 'This is Fostering' highlighting the positive impact of fostering.
Our foster carers and fostering families provide stabilty and safety to the children and young people in their care.
As a team we would like to say a heartfelt thank you to you all. 💜🩷💜
We will be at the Metro Centre this Saturday outside Primark to provide further information

During Foster Care Fortnight, we want to take a moment to recognise and thank each and every one of our incredible foster carers.
Your compassion, resilience, and unwavering commitment make a lasting difference in the lives of children and young people every single day. You offer not just a home, but stability, care, and a sense of belonging when it is needed most.
We know that fostering can be both rewarding and challenging. The dedication you show, often going above and beyond, does not go unnoticed. You are at the heart of everything we do, and the relationships you build help shape brighter futures.
Thank you for your patience, your strength, and your kindness. Thank you for standing alongside us and for the vital role you play in supporting our children and young people.
We are truly grateful for everything you do.

Yesterday the team embarked on our sponsored walk in recognition of from The Stray Café, Redcar to The Ship, Saltburn and back. We were really lucky with the weather and had a lovely day, although we are feeling it today. A huge thank you to all that sponsored the team, we are still currently counting up the monies raised. 💜💜💜💜

During , we want to talk about our amazing foster carers, and we hope they will inspire more people.
For foster carers Martyn and Lauren, fostering is all about helping children with the support of their pets including Troy the pony they play a huge role in helping the children and young people to settle in and to thrive .
'Often, it's the simplest things that help children settle. Spending time outdoors, caring for Troy or going for a walk with the dogs can help the children feel calmer and more confident,' explains Lauren.
Martyn and Lauren began their fostering journey in their twenties and want to reassure others that there's no 'typical' foster carer. You can be younger or older, single or married, working or studying. Fostering can fit around busy lives, with support every step of the way.
