Redcar Lifeboat RNLI Flag Day Prize Draw 2026

We are running our prize draw to help raise funds for Redcar RNLI Lifeboat Station as part of our annual fund raising flag day on 25th July.

SHOUT: 15:42 - Launch Atlantic 85 to assist in the rescue of a broken down boat in the main Tees shipping lane.

The boat which was carrying 3 people had suffered engine failure. It was initially assisted by a Tug and then by RNLI Redcar 's crew who proceeded to tow it back to its launch site at the Tees Barrage.

The Lifeboat and crew returned safely to Redcar Lifeboat Station where the Lifeboat was readied for its next shout.

SHOUT: 00:18 -Launch Atlantic to assist other emergency services.

If you see someone in trouble in the water call 999 and ask for the Coastguard.

SHOUT: 15:22 - Launch D Class lifeboat to assist a paddleboarder 1/4 of a mile off Majuba Road beach.

The casualty was recovered safely and taken back to the shore.

Paddleboarders should always wear a leash and hold onto the board if they get into trouble.It will help them float.

Always carry a means of calling for help.

Always wear a flotation device.
