We must work harder 💪🏻

It’s easy to see a result like this from Peterlee Town Council and think that “uniting the right” is the only way to stop Labour winning seats in our area.

We see things differently in South Tees.

Our teams are on the ground talking to residents most days, we’re delivering tens of thousands of leaflets across the region and we’re only going to ramp that up between now and May.

Our team has been built from the ground up over the last 18 months and we have brilliant people who are committed to creating a group that can take over the administration of Redcar and Cleveland Council. That hasn’t been easy and we’ve had plenty of challenges along the way.
Restore is just another challenge to be beaten and we have the talent and determination to do that.

Our residents aren’t stupid. They want to vote for people they believe can make a difference. We promise to show them that Reform Redcar is the hardest-working, most professional and well-led option available to them come next May.
Some people vote with their heads and others with their hearts. Either way, it’s up to us to show you we can deliver the change you want.

🚨LIRON VELLEMAN a former Labour councillor and political organiser for HOPE not HATE spared jail!

He pleaded guilty to attempting to engage in s*xual communication with a child and attempting to cause a child aged 13–15 to view an image of s*xual activity. He sent explicit messages and a video of his p***s to someone he believed was a 13-year-old girl, who was actually an undercover police officer.

His sentence? Eight months in prison, suspended for 15 months. He must also complete unpaid work and remains on the s*x offenders register for 10 years.

Velleman’s links to Labour and HOPE not hate raise legitimate questions about scrutiny, accountability and the people given positions of influence within political organisations.

He had also been associated with the Jewish Labour Movement.

But this isn’t about pretending s*xual predators belong to just one political camp. They don’t.It’s about demanding the same standards from everyone, regardless of their politics, connections or public image.

If political organisations expect to hold others accountable, they must be prepared to answer difficult questions about their own.

Why, why, why is this monster allowed to stay Britain!

Labour and the Tories talk tough on this but the evidence shows they won’t take the necessary action. Restore Britain does not have enough support or the infrastructure to win enough seats to make a difference so that only leaves Reform UK.

We are the only realistic alternative who will declare a state of emergency and repeal the legislation that needs to go so that we can stop the boats and deport him along with every other illegal migrant and foreign criminal.

Finally. Our council leader is bringing in a policy most people want to see!

The fact that he rejected it previously and we advocated for it again on the 8th September is, we’re sure, an absolute coincidence as they look to ramp up their activity just months before the voting public pass judgement in May 🤔

Anyway, we welcome the move and hope it’s enacted and enforced rather than just talked about. 🤞🏻

Councillor and group leader Joanne Rush, Reform UK - Nunthorpe Ward is a fantastic Cllr who works tirelessly for her residents day in and day out.

It’s a pathetic attack from the Local Lib Dem’s who were rejected by the people of Nunthorpe because they failed to speak up on the issues that mattered most to them.

We fully expect to see 1000s of leaflets with lies and dodgy graphs across the whole of the region from a group that has bitterness, lies and bile as its main messages of choice.

Keep going Jo and ignore this pitiful, pathetic rubbish.

I was extremely disappointed to see this Liberal Democrat leaflet being circulated around Nunthorpe claiming that I have “hardly been seen or heard from”, have “already disappeared” and am “not showing up for residents”. I completely reject that portrayal of my record. Since residents elected me in December, I have worked relentlessly for this ward, taking up individual casework, reporting and chasing problems with roads, pavements, potholes, parking and highways, tackling concerns around speeding and antisocial behaviour, working with police and other agencies, fighting for better infrastructure and repeatedly raising the pressures further development places on our roads, schools, GP provision and local services. And anyone who follows Middlesbrough Council will know I have certainly not been “missing in action” in the Council Chamber. I have stood up repeatedly for Nunthorpe, challenged decisions, asked difficult questions and fought hard to make sure residents’ concerns are put directly to those making the decisions. I will speak up even when what I have to say is uncomfortable or unpopular, because that is what residents elected me to do. Alongside my Borough Council work, I serve on Nunthorpe Parish Council, continuing to work directly on issues affecting our community. Being a councillor is not about how many photographs you can put in a leaflet or how often you tell people you are working; it is about answering residents, dealing with casework, chasing officers, attending meetings, challenging decisions and actually fighting to get things done. With elections approaching next year, political campaigning will inevitably increase, and I have no problem whatsoever with my record being scrutinised, but scrutinise my actual record. I will not stand quietly by while residents are given a completely misleading impression of the work I have been doing on their behalf. I know how hard I work, I know how many residents I have helped, and residents who have contacted me know how hard I fight for them. I was elected to be a strong voice for Nunthorpe, and that is exactly what I will continue to be, in our community, behind the scenes and, when necessary, loudly and clearly in the Council Chamber. Political leaflets will come and go. My focus remains exactly where it has been since the day I was elected: fighting tooth and nail for Nunthorpe and the people I represent. I stood in the last election on my own morals and did not attack a person or a party and I will do that again. But I won’t allow lies to be published without speaking out.
