VOTE TORY ➡️ GET LABOUR 🤦🏻 (Almost!)

A solid 40% of the vote in last nights Gateshead by election but the result does give us a potential warning about next years council elections in Redcar.

When people vote for this current Tory party all it does is make it easier for Labour to win. We saw it earlier this year in South bank and almost again in High Fell last night.

We desperately need to replace this awful Labour council who are propped up each year by the Lib Dem’s. The Tories couldn’t do that when they were flying high a few years ago and now that they are just part of the background noise it’s become even less likely that they can achieve anything meaningful.

That’s why Reform is the only answer to removing Anna Turleys puppet council leader and the woeful members who put him there.

Next May, vote Reform and let’s break this uniparty monopoly once and for all.

This has to be the most ridiculous comment our Council leader has made this week.

He believes the people of Clacton should decide if they want Nigel Farage as their MP but in the same post he praises his party for not standing in a by election where the people of Claction get to decide wether they want Nigel Farage as their MP?

The reality is that Alec, and more importantly the Labour Party, knows that the likelihood of them losing their deposit in Clacton is pretty high. By pretending to be professionally offended they can hide away and not give the public a democratic choice which, after all, is something they’ve got form for since coming to power just two short years ago.

Fantastic effort from our local teams today!

First up was a litter pick in Grangetown to support Reforms “cleaning up Britain” activities then a mass canvass session in Ladgate ward speaking to dozens hundreds of residents, many of whom can’t wait to see the back of their Labour council and its Mayor next May.

Thanks to everyone who came along to help and if you want to get involved in the future please get in touch. 💪🏻

Today’s announcement by Kier Starmer was inevitable the moment Burnham was allowed to stand in Makerfield.

We won’t join in with others in criticising the man himself today. Politics is brutal enough without personalising it.

Instead we’ll focus on the hypocrisy we’re going to see over the next three weeks with Labour MP after Labour MP endorsing the coronation of Burnham and the continuation of an appalling Labour Government despite so many of them demanding a general election when the Tories did exactly the same thing.

On the bright side, at least they’ve managed to keep one of their manifesto pledges today as they’ve definitively delivered change 😂

As Cllr Alec Brown has finally removed his ridiculous post attacking Reform with an obviously AI doctored picture then it’s only right that we remove ours calling him out on it.

Politics is brutal enough these days without Council leaders making stuff up or sharing obvious lies so happy to see he saw sense.

Is Burnham just Starmer in jeans 🤔

On Wednesday he jumps onboard the Waspi wagon again, promising them the compensation that they were told Labour would give them before the election.

Fast forward 24hrs and he now says he won’t do that but he’ll look into some early bus passes for them!🤦🏻

Starmer would be proud of a U turn like that in less than a full day 😂

Fantastic effort from our branch member Billy who did a 60 mile round trip today to raise money for Redcar’s campaign war chest.

This achievement is brilliant on its own but even better when you know our Billy has seen over 70 summers!

Thanks to everyone who’s already donated to our cause and if you’d like to support us or get more involved then please message the page.

Well done Bill 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Do we want ordinary people to become politicians, or should it be reserved for those who have prepared their entire adult lives for this role?

The attacks from career politicians like Anna Turley against the Reform candidate for Makerfield are all about the same thing. He has made comments in the past that many may find offensive, and because of this, he is deemed a bad person, unworthy of sharing the privileged position that she and her friends already occupy.

That’s it. Nothing more, nothing less. Remarks about Carol Vorderman’s backside, women drivers, his personal views on abortion, and a host of other comments have Anna clutching her pearls as if she has never sat in a Redcar pub on a Friday night.

But she has, and therein lies the problem. She believes she belongs to the ruling class, while the rest of us are thought of as fit to follow but not to lead.

We are not defending every comment ever made by Reform candidates—far from it. However, we must decide what we want as a country.

We can choose candidates who prepare from an early age to be politically active, attending university and subsequently working in politics before becoming MPs. Alternatively, we can opt for individuals who have achieved real things in the real world, which often means they have said and done things that draw attacks from the likes of Turley.

The choice is ours. But unless we challenge these attacks on an average bloke who wants to stand up for his community, we will remain stuck with insincere politicians whose first thought is about the language they use rather than the communities they come from.

Fantastic to see Redcar packed out today, it shows what great potential our town has.

The picture doesn’t really do it justice but from Majuba to Marske there were thousands of people enjoying the beach. Add in the race goers who will head into town later and it’s been a fantastic end to a strong BH weekend for many of our local businesses.

The trick will always be how can we sustain this when it’s not the hottest day of the year but you can’t deny what’s on show today.

The clean up teams also seem to have done a great job in difficult circumstances and tomorrow will be a huge challenge to get the place back looking great for the teatime trade we’ll hopefully see this week as the hot weather sticks around for a few days.

Hope you all had a great weekend. ☀️🏇⚽️💃🍦🏖️
