We will be running Digital Drop-in Clinics every Wednesday in June from 4:15 - 5:45pm. These sessions are to help patients register on/use the NHS App, order repeat prescriptions etc.

The Intermediate Care Team is part of our responsive services who provide short-term nursing and therapy intervention during an episode of ill health, to prevent acute hospital admission when you can safely be supported at home or to support hospital discharge.

Our Minor Injury Unit (MIU) at Caterham Dene Hospital will remain open over the Spring May Bank Holiday weekend including Monday from 8am to 8pm and is available for adults and children over the age of 5 🌷☀️

It is a walk-in service and no referral or appointment is required. You can call 111 if you would like to check if the MIU is the most appropriate service for you.

Please by choosing the best option for your need. NHS 111 can help if you have an urgent medical problem and are unsure what to do. Always call 999 in an emergency. Both services are available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week.

With high temperatures forecast across Surrey and Sussex over the next few days, here are our top tips for staying healthy:

🤝 Look out for others who may be more vulnerable in the heat, like older people or young children
🚰 Drink plenty of water to stay hydrated
⛱️ Seek shade and cover up during the middle part of the day
🧴 Use SPF at least 30 and reapply regularly

First Community provides NHS healthcare services across east Surrey, which is quite a significant geographical footprint with lots of challenging country roads. When Lisa Croggon, a specialist physiotherapist, joined First Community she wanted to travel by bike to provide her community physiotherapy service.

Lisa, supported by First Community, took a smart and flexible approach to overcome the geographical challenge. Where possible, Lisa groups her visits into local patches, places her bike in the boot of her car, and drives to the area she'll be working in for the day-or part of the day. Once parked safely, Lisa completes her visits by bike before returning to the car for her onward journey.

This innovative approach brings multiple benefits including:
✅ Reduced fuel costs
✅ Improved personal wellbeing and fitness and
✅ A more environmentally friendly way of working.
