The countdown is on! 👣

This September, four of our Rural and Coastal team are taking on an 80 Miles for 80 Years challenge - walking 80 miles along the South West Coast Path from Looe to Cadgwith to celebrate our 80th anniversary!

Since 1946, CRCC has worked alongside communities across Cornwall, helping people and places thrive through a wide range of services and projects. Today, we support thousands of people each year through initiatives ranging from carers' support and community transport to rural housing, education and training, environmental projects and support for Cornwall's fishing communities.

The Rural and Coastal team have organised this 80 mile challenge to celebrate this legacy while supporting our future. The team would love your support. Whether you cheer us on along the route, share our journey or make a donation, every contribution makes a difference.

80 years of community, help us make it 80 more. Find out more here: https://cornwallrcc.org.uk/80-miles-for-80-years

This month we had the pleasure of hosting the second Rural Affordable Housing Forum focusing on early steps for supporting housing projects.

If you missed it and would still like to watch it, we have now published the recording (see link below).

The Forum is open to anyone and aims to connect people working to provide affordable homes in Cornwall’s rural and coastal communities. Through quarterly meetings and workshops, three online and one in person, the Forum offers the opportunity to share experience, explore challenges, and highlight examples of good practice. Each session features expert speakers and open discussion, creating a supportive environment where ideas can grow into real projects.

If you would like to stay up to date about our Rural Housing work, you can sign up to the Rural and Coastal newsletter here: https://cornwallrcc.org.uk/sign-up-rc
