This month, as their Charity of the Year for 2026, we hosted an event with Cornwall Chamber of Commerce at Heartlands.

Having been selected as Charity of the Year in January, the partnership has provided a valuable opportunity to raise awareness of our work and connect with businesses from across Cornwall. Our event at Heartlands offered Chamber members the chance to find out more about the projects and services we deliver, while also joining us in celebrating our 80th anniversary year.

Today we’re at the Eden Project for a special event to mark World Mental Health day, celebrating the collective commitment to mental health across Cornwall. Great to see so many organisations from across the voluntary sector here. A great chance to exchange information, get involved in workshops and network. We are very grateful to NFU Mutual Central Cornwall for their generous donation which has helped us take our 80th anniversary fundraising campaign closer to £10,000!

We recently received a £7,899 donation from NFU Mutual Central Cornwall, which has boosted our 80th anniversary fundraising campaign to nearly £10,000.

The donation follows the success of our recent 80 Miles for 80 Years fundraising challenge, which saw members of our Rural and Coastal team walk 80 miles of the South West Coast Path from Looe to Cadgwith. The challenge raised more than £1,000 and, combined with support from organisations including NFU Mutual, has helped our anniversary fundraising campaign raise more than £9,000 so far.

There are only a few tickets left for our Anniversary Charity Gala & Auction at Heartlands, Pool, on Friday 13 November 2026!

We'd love you to join us as we celebrate 80 years of supporting Cornwall's communities to reflect on our journey, celebrate our achievements, and recognise the many partners, businesses and organisations that have helped make our work possible.

Guests will enjoy a welcome drink followed by an exceptional two-course banquet prepared by Duchy Hospitality. The evening will also showcase the talents of young people from our Learn Your Way and Work Your Way programmes, who will be assisting with service as part of their employment and training journey. Each table will receive a complimentary bottle of red and white w**e.

The evening will feature live entertainment from the fantastic Mammoth Band, alongside a raffle, silent auction and live auction offering an array of exceptional Cornish prizes, experiences and gifts!
