Another FABtastic sea glass workshop, this time with a fab lady on holiday here in Porthleven. She sadly lost all her special jewellery in a burglary and is slowly building back up a new collection. She brought with her some sea glass she found on a beach close to her home, that held special memories to her 💖

You may remember the Godolphin primary school summer art project I was lucky enough to be involved in this year :) It was first showcased to the public at Museum of Cornish Life and is now displayed at National Trust Godolphin inside their C***r house.

The wall hanging was made by the whole school and the art works were inspired by the Museum of Cornish life's archive photographs of the Godolphin House and gardens.

The National Trust plans to have some craft activities inspired by the wall hanging available for people to do too! 🌿 If you do visit, please share photos of your creations 💖 it would be so amazing for us to see.

You can pop by and see it Mon - Fri between 10 - 5pm until the 1st of November ❤️

I was thrilled to be back inside the beautiful Godolphin chapel to teach another pewter casting workshop! Last time we used sand to cast from and this time we used Cuttlefish!

I love how the materials used are so deeply connected with the local area 💖 pewter - largely made up of tin and Cuttlefish - that can be found washed up on our local beaches.

The day was filled with experimentation and the exciting anticipation when opening their cuttlefish mould once the pewter had been poured! I have to say I love each and every one of their creations!

I had a fabulous day sea glass pendant making Museum of Cornish Life with this lovely bunch :) Thanks for coming!

This workshop formed part of the museums Helston Makes it events :) which includes a glass art workshop with Zoe from Mullion Glass Studio , free talks from experts and much more!

Today I was joined by two friends who brought with them lots of special sea glass treasures 💖 They were spoilt for choice!

After a bit of guidance on which sea glass would work best and deciding on which stood out to them most, they together made these beautiful pendants, finished off with a sparkling silver rope chain ✨

My next sea glass pendant workshop is at Salt Cellar Workshops, Porthleven. Thursday 8th October 9am - 12pm :)

On our trip to the Jurassic coast we didn't just find fossils, but lots of beautiful shades of sea glass and pottery too! After doing some research, it sounds likely that they have come from an old Victorian tip which was located on the cliffs, also known as spittles lane landfill. I am definitely planning on setting some of these in silver 💖

During my last workshop at my studio in Salt Cellar Workshops I met with a lovely lady here on holiday, who made a pair of stud earrings. What an unusual coloured sea glass ! They have a sort of marbled effect ♥️ I love how they aren't exact copies of each other, but still work so well as a pair!
