Some of our Primary 4 children had an active morning at Dumbarton Tennis Club and Active Schools tennis festival.
They were excellent ambassadors for our school demonstrating resilience, sportsmanship and a positive attitude!

Everyone had a lovely afternoon at our Summer Fayre today! A very big thank you to our fabulous Parent Council for their organisation and to all the volunteers who helped today. Young people in the Vale of Leven are shaping an exciting vision for the future of their community ✨💡

Pupils from schools across the Vale of Leven will put their vision for their community’s future on display at a range of exhibitions next week. The exhibitions are the culmination of their work on aspirational project Your Vale, Your Future.

The project asked pupils to look around the area and use their imagination and creativity to design new additions to the everyday places they frequent. The project, which included pupils from Primary one up to Primary seven and young people in S2 and S3 from Vale of Leven Academy, will be on display in the area throughout June.

Oak and Rowan were learning how sound travels in waves and testing how it moves through solids, liquids, and gases. They also explored how animals use sound to survive and what can limit our own hearing. They aren't asleep at their desks they are listening to sound passing through a solid 😁

The Vale of Leven Learning Community is proud to present "Your Vale, Your Future," an inspiring multi-venue exhibition showcasing the creativity and vision of our local young people.

We invite families, visitors, and all those interested in the future of our community to visit these venues. Come and see how our young people are reimagining the spaces we share and join us in supporting their incredible work.

To ensure these visions are accessible to everyone, the exhibition is being held at various community venues:

Exhibition Venues & Locations:

• Renton Primary School: Hosted at Spectrum Café (Vale of Leven Industrial Estate).

• Christie Park Primary School: Located on the balcony area of the Lomond Galleries (the old Torpedo Factory).

• Gartocharn Primary School: Held at the Gartocharn Millennium Hall.

• Bonhill Primary School: A special one-day outdoor exhibition at Dillichip Park on Wednesday, June 3rd.

• Lennox Primary School: Hosted at Ladyton Community Centre (Available Monday–Friday).

• Balloch Primary School: A dedicated display space within the Balloch Co-op.

• Vale of Leven Academy: Showcasing work at Alexandria Library.
