Look what our webcams picked up! 👀

We were delighted to see pine martens in the Elan Valley. These elusive creatures are woodland specialists so it’s not surprising to see them climbing on the fallen tree branches. Once prevalent, they have become rarer and can now only be found in pockets of Wales 🌳

With plenty of thick tree cover, the Elan Valley is an ideal location for these shy mammals - and the occasional fox! 🦊

Roeddem wrth ein bodd i weld beleod yng Nghwm Elan. Mae'r creaduriaid anhygoel hyn yn arbenigwyr coetir felly nid yw'n syndod eu gweld yn dringo ar ganghennau’r coed sydd wedi cwympo. Ar un adeg roedden nhw’n gyffredin ond maen nhw wedi mynd yn brinnach ac erbyn hyn dim ond mewn ambell fan yng Nghymru y gellir eu gweld 🌳

Gan fod digon o orchudd coed trwchus yma yng Nghwm Elan, mae’n lleoliad delfrydol ar gyfer y mamaliaid swil hyn.

We were thrilled to welcome the King’s Baton Relay to the Elan Valley as part of the celebrations ahead of this summer's Commonwealth Games 🏅

And it was a perfect day, maybe even too hot for a run! 🏃‍♀️

We're so excited to welcome the King's Baton Relay to the Elan Valley this Sunday (Father's Day, 21st June) as part of the build up to this summer's Commonwealth Games 🥳

There will be 29 baton bearers including headline athletes Adele Nicholl (bobsleigh and shot put) and Tim Davies (cycling) 🚴🛷

Join us for the start of the relay at 1pm from the top of Caban Coch Dam (behind the Visitor Centre).

This Saturday (13th June) the Walk Wales Challenge is coming to the Elan Valley to help raise vital funds for the Wales Air Ambulance service

There is still time to sign up to join this 10km circular route through the stunning Elan Valley. We’ll be hosting the walkers and supporting them as they step out on this challenge.
