We thought in the light if recent events in the news we would put a message out to reassure our families.

You may have seen the recent media coverage regarding Robert Bush from Legacy Funeral Directors in Hull.

We would like to reassure the families we care for in our local community and surrounding areas, that we are a proud member of The National Society of Allied & Independent Funeral Directors (SAIF)

As an SAIF member, we are regularly inspected, adhere to a strict Code of Practice, and are committed to maintaining the highest professional and ethical standards in funeral care. Every loved one entrusted in to our care is treated with the utmost dignity, respect, and compassion, and every family can have confidence that they are receiving the highest standard of service and support.

We here at Morris funeral services make sure we care for our families with the upmost dignity and respect by making sure we are leaders of standards by having our members of staff trained and qualified to the highest of levels within our profession and hold membership with our governing bodies.

Providing the best care for the deceased and their loved ones is genuinely at the heart of everything we do, and we will remain dedicated to upholding the standards that families rightly expect and deserve.

Today we have the privilege of honouring two lives, each remembered in their own special way.

We will say farewell to highly cherished people who touched the lives of so many people in our local community.

Today, on Pet Remembrance Day, we pause to remember the loyal companions who brought unconditional love, comfort, and joy into our lives. 🐾💙

As Jack finishes his work experience week with us, we'd like to say a huge thank you for all of his hard work, enthusiasm and willingness to get involved.

Jack has grown up around our family business, but this week has given him the opportunity to experience first-hand the care, compassion and dedication that goes into supporting families every day.
He has been a real credit to himself and has approached every task with maturity, respect and a positive attitude.

We're incredibly proud of you, Jack, and grateful to have had you as part of the team this week. Whether your future leads you into the family business or elsewhere, we know you'll do brilliantly.

Today we had the honour of supporting a family as they said their final farewell to a much-loved lady.

The service took place at The United Church, Tynewydd Road, Rhyl, followed by a private committal at Memoria Denbighshire Memorial Park & Crematorium

Our thoughts remain with her family and friends at this difficult time. It was a privilege to help provide a dignified and caring service, celebrating a life that will be remembered with love.

We often get asked by people.

"What is the purpose of a funeral director?"

We could simply reply with the generic answer such as.....

A funeral director’s role is to provide care, guidance, and support for families during one of life’s most difficult times.
From helping to arrange a meaningful funeral service and taking care of necessary paperwork, to looking after your loved one with dignity and respect, funeral directors are there to guide families through every step of the process.

But in truth we are the people who you can call anytime day or night, we are the steady presence and familiar face which will listen to the life stories of how you first met. Their loved ones favourite music we listen to you, we smile & we laugh with you. We are their ease the burden and the strains of grief we tell you that everything will be ok, being the pillar of strength in the weakest of moments.

Being a funeral director is a honour & a privilege. It means caring for people at their most vulnerable, treating every family with kindness, and ensuring that every goodbye is handled with the love and respect it deserves.

Because a funeral is not only about the end of a life — it is about celebrating the life that came before it and the memories that will live on. 💙🎩💙

💙 A Notice We didnt Think We Needed To Share But For Clarity And Awareness For The Public They Need To Know 💙

The NAFD and the funeral profession as a whole welcomes the latest ruling from the Advertising Standards Authority (ASA), which has upheld their complaint regarding a misleading Tv advert by Pure Cremation.
The advert gave the impression that an attended, in-person funeral service was included as part of Pure Cremation’s standard plan, when this is not the case. Our complaint, one of twelve submitted to the ASA, highlighted concerns that consumers were not being given a clear and accurate understanding of what was being offered.
Transparency and clarity must remain at the heart of our profession. When families choose a direct cremation, they should fully understand that this is not the same as an attended funeral service, but an unattended cremation without a ceremony or gathering at the crematorium.
At one of the most difficult times in life, families deserve honest and straightforward information about the choices available to them. Providing clear guidance is a responsibility that the sector must uphold.
This matters because we only have one opportunity to say goodbye. Funerals play a vital role in bringing families, friends and communities together, allowing people to grieve, remember and honour a life in a way that feels meaningful to them.
It is the responsibility of everyone within the funeral profession to ensure families understand the differences between all available options, enabling them to make informed decisions based on what matters most to them.
When people are not fully aware of what their final farewell will involve, the impact can be profound and may stay with them for a lifetime.
