What a fantastic afternoon on the green yesterday at the new bi-annual 'Croquet on the Green' event. Fun and laughter (and maybe just a little competitiveness!) as villagers and visitors - and dogs - enjoyed a great day's sporting activities, croquet and boules. Congratulations to our very first winner Anders Coleman and runner up Liz Wilkins. AND - the girls beat the boys in straight games at boules, but we'll say no more about that! 😂

We would very much like to supply food and drink but we can’t so it might be advisable to bring some provisions.

Hello Ribchester! If you fancy something different to do on a Sunday LOOK NO FURTHER. Why not try your hand at Croquet, the sport that's even easier to play than spell.
All equipment will be supplied.
All you have to do is turn up at the Greenside Green on Sunday 2nd August, 2pm. Everyone in the village is invited. 😃

Yesterday's annual 'Cricket on the Green' was a brilliant success! The village green saw a fantastic turn out from locals and visitors, young and old. The sun was shining and the refreshments were flowing. It was the quintessential English village summer get-together - lots of fun and a real sense of community. 😃

As you can see, the green has been mowed and rolled ready for Saturday's cricket. Hope to see you there! 🏏😄
