Three of your dedicated Parish Councillors - Mark Hamilton, Simon Longhurst and Aidan Meldrum - have recently inspected the Recreation Ground playground, cleaned all the equipment and cleared brambles around the benches. They were also kindly assisted by a father and daughter who were using the playground.

As part of our inspection we looked at the damaged zip wire seat chewed by a dog which was first reported to us by a member of the public. We assume the dog was on a lead at the time! This and repairs to the see saw will be sorted.

👋 New to countryside walking? This one’s for you!

The High Weald Walking Festival kicks off on 12 September with a short walk around Robertsbridge designed for anyone who is new to walking in the countryside, needs a refresh, or just fancies a gentle stroll.

It’s a great chance to get outdoors and discover the beautiful High Weald. No experience needed – just come along and enjoy a warm Weald welcome!

The walk is one of 80 FREE guided and self-guided walks taking place all over the High Weald between 12 and 20 September.
