On Friday 28th August, the Living Well Rochdale CVD Team were honoured to be invited by the Mayor to the Mayor’s Parlour to receive an award recognising their outstanding work in the community to improve heart health.

A key part of this work has been delivering health checks across the borough, helping local people better understand and manage their cardiovascular health. Just last week, the team reached an incredible milestone of 1,500 health checks in under 12 months — a fantastic achievement and a testament to the team’s hard work, dedication and commitment to the Rochdale community.

We would like to sincerely thank the Mayor for recognising the important work being carried out by Living Well Rochdale. It was a real honour for the team to visit the Mayor’s Parlour for the first time and proudly receive this award.

A wonderful moment of recognition for everyone involved — and a milestone we are extremely proud of! 👏❤️

Welcome to the Smallbridge Library Neighbourhub Group which takes place every Thursday from 9.30am -12.

Please come and join us for a chat and a brew. Our volunteers can also support you with form filling, help with getting support from other services and free blood pressure checks.

The group will be meeting every week and we welcome people to come regularly to meet with others in a warm and safe place.

Therapeutic Thursday will be moving to a new location within Rochdale Central Library.

🌿 From Thursday 13 August onwards, Therapeutic Thursday will take place in the Maskew Space.

While the location is changing, everything that makes Therapeutic Thursday so special remains the same. You can still enjoy the welcoming atmosphere, friendly faces and therapeutic activities you've come to know and love – just in a new space.
