Rochdale Ghost Walks The one and only, professional Rochdale Ghost Walk since 2010. Telephone or email for dates. Private walks are also available for groups of 15 or more.

Ghostly tales and murderous deeds from Rochdale's past will chill you to the core on these evening walks around Rochdale town centre. Local professional actors Colin Meredith & Russell Richardson will take you on a spine tingling journey as you wander through the back streets of Rochdale to places you've never been before. Spend 90 minutes in the company of Rochdale's finest storytellers as they show you the places where dark deeds took place in days of old. The walks start at 7.30pm from the Baum pub on Toad Lane and are held on alternate Thursdays, priced £5 per person. At the end of the walk you can warm yourself in the cosy surroundings of The Baum, one of Rochdale's finest Real Ale pubs.

We’ve been working with Rochdale Town Centre BID on this colourful series of town centre guides and trails, covering everything from real ale pubs and blue plaques to lost buildings, hidden heritage, green spaces and murals.

Eight down, with number nine coming soon — Ghosts & Legends of Rochdale Town Centre, created with help from Rochdale Ghost Walks just in time for Halloween 👻

The free guides are published by Rochdale BID and are available to pick up at various locations around the town centre, including Rochdale Pioneers Museum Co-Operative Heritage Trust, Number Ten Gallery on Baillie Street and The Baum.

After 16 successful years of tours in Rochdale we have new fees for 2026.
Private walks can be booked for any day of the year in advance and our new charges are £60 for six people. Any additions to the group are to be charged at £10 per person.
