The Rochdale Borough Safeguarding Adults Board (RBSAB) is a partnership of statutory and non-statutory organisations. It is committed to Safeguarding Adults and will continue to work towards establishing a society where there is zero tolerance to adult abuse. The vision of the Board is that agencies who support people at risk of abuse or neglect have a culture that promotes good practice within se

rvices, raise public awareness to prevent abuse happening, act swiftly when it does and puts the person at the centre of planning to help them achieve their chosen outcomes. The overarching principles set out in the statement of Government Policy on Adult Safeguarding (DH) May 2011 and the Care Act 2014 are fully supported by Rochdale Borough Safeguarding Adults Board:

Presumption of person led decisions and informed consent

Support and representation for those in greatest need

It is better to take action before harm occurs

Proportionate and least intrusive response appropriate to risk presented

Modern slavery cases in the UK have reached their highest level on record increasing by 41% in just one year.
