August at A&F Sprinklers — what a month!

We’ve had another busy month across the business, with plenty to celebrate.

💙 Our fundraising for Alzheimer’s Society continues, with Curt Jackson taking part in the Great North Run to support our Charity of the Year. Every donation makes a difference, so please consider supporting Curt’s fundraising.

👋 We welcomed Jack Collier and Robert Dix to the A&F family.

🎉 We celebrated Taylor Hartley’s 5-year service milestone, while also congratulating Becky Edwards on her promotion to Senior Administrator.

💚 Our new Benefits & Wellbeing Hub launched, bringing our employee benefits, resources and support together in one place.

🤝 We also launched our Culture Club, giving colleagues another opportunity to get involved, have their say and help shape our culture.

📋 A new Supply Chain Management Framework was introduced to support strong governance, ISO compliance and our commitment to ESG.

🔥 It doesn’t take a big fire to create a big problem.

The wildfires we've seen across the UK in recent weeks have been a stark reminder of how quickly fire can spread when the conditions are right.

Dry vegetation, high temperatures, wind and an ignition source can turn a small fire into something much more serious in a surprisingly short space of time.

The Government recently issued an emergency alert across England and Wales warning of a very high risk of wildfires, with people urged to avoid anything that could start a fire.

For those of us who work in fire safety, there's an important lesson here:

Early intervention matters.

Whether it's a fire in open countryside or inside a building, the longer a fire has to develop, the more difficult it can become to control.

That's one of the reasons fire protection systems are so important. Detection, compartmentation and suppression measures are all designed to help prevent a fire from becoming something much bigger.

As a fire sprinkler company, our role is ultimately about helping to control fires at the earliest possible stage — before they have the opportunity to cause widespread damage.

The current wildfire situation is a sobering reminder of just how quickly fire can change when the conditions allow it.

Our thoughts are with everyone affected, and with the firefighters and emergency services working tirelessly to protect people, property and the environment.

July has been another fantastic month at A&F Sprinklers! 🎉

Here's just some of what we've been up to...

🥾 Our amazing Trek26 team completed their challenge and together raised an incredible £4,472 for Alzheimer's Society. Thank you to everyone who donated and supported them!

👋 We welcomed new members to the A&F family and opened 8 new vacancies for anyone looking to join our growing team.

📍 We secured another exciting new project and celebrated achieving and renewing several important industry accreditations.

🏅 We were delighted to receive the Payroll Giving Gold Award 2026 in recognition of our team's generosity.

🎉 Congratulations to Steve Baker and Adam Charnley, who both celebrated 10 years with A&F Sprinklers. Thank you for everything you do!

Another real-life example of sprinklers doing exactly what they're designed to do.

A recent fire in a Southampton high-rise building was extinguished by a retrofitted automatic fire sprinkler system, preventing the fire from spreading and helping to protect residents and property.
