Today, I had the honour of a beautiful meeting and dinner with Qibla Pir Syed Ali Junaid Ul Haq Sahib at Golra Sharif, Islamabad.

I offered my heartfelt condolences on the passing of Pir Syed Fareed ul Haq (RA), whose absence is still deeply felt. His presence remains missed in our lives and in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

During our meeting, Pir Sahib reflected on the current state of the Ummah, reminding us of the urgent need for Muslim unity, solidarity and an end to oppression.

At a time of such suffering and division, his words carried great meaning.

I am sincerely grateful to Pir Sahib for his warmth, kindness and generosity with his time. It was a truly humbling and memorable meeting.

May Allah SWT unite the Ummah, ease the suffering of the oppressed and grant us the wisdom to stand together for justice. Ameen. 🤲

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH — LET’S END FLY-TIPPING!

On Monday, I was live on Channel 5’s Storm and Alexis Show discussing fly tipping and what needs to be done to tackle it.

Here in Milkstone and Deeplish, I’m working with Council officers to get rubbish cleared quickly. But we need stronger action to stop these offenders ruining our neighbourhoods.

Cleaner streets, safer communities so let’s make it happen!

FROM LIVE TV THIS MORNING TO RESIDENTS’ DOORS TONIGHT! 💪

I’ve been up since 7am. This morning, I was LIVE on Channel 5’s Storm & Alexis Show, broadcasting from Ashfield Road to speak about the blight of fly-tipping in our community.

Now, at 8pm, I’m out visiting residents in their own homes as part of my home surgeries, making sure those who can’t get to the office still have access to their councillor.

And let me make one thing absolutely clear: if you hire builders to carry out work at your property, YOU are responsible for making sure your waste is disposed of properly.

You cannot simply allow builders to dump rubbish in alleyways, leave it for someone else to deal with, and walk away as if it’s nothing. Our streets and alleyways are not dumping grounds. Residents deserve better, and those responsible must be held accountable.

When I stood for election, I made a promise to work day and night for the people of Milkstone and Deeplish.

That wasn’t just an election slogan. It was a commitment — and I intend to keep it.

Early mornings. Live television. Evening home visits. Whatever it takes to get the job done.

That’s what being a councillor should be about: being visible, being accessible, listening to residents and taking action.

Your councillor. Your community. Here to work for you.

SUPPORTING OUR COMMUNITY’S HEALTH AND WELLBEING!

It was great to join local residents this evening at Deeplish Community Centre in our Milkstone and Deeplish Ward for an important health seminar on atopic eczema.

Organised by Deeplish Community Centre, Living Well and the NHS, the seminar provided valuable advice on managing the condition, understanding the treatments available, and helping people make informed decisions about their health.

I want to thank all the organisations involved for taking the time to engage with our residents, share their knowledge and provide this important support within our community.

As ward councillors, we must continue to support initiatives that improve access to health advice, raise awareness and help our residents lead healthier lives.

🚨 ANOTHER FLY-TIPPING INCIDENT SORTED — ACTION, NOT EXCUSES! ✅

Fly-tippers think they can dump their rubbish on our streets and walk away without a care. Not on our watch!

Late on Friday, a resident contacted me about fly-tipping on Whitby Street in Deeplish. I acted immediately, reported it to the Council, and by Monday morning, the rubbish had been cleared.

That’s how it should be — residents raise a problem, and action must follow!

⚠️ TWO IMPORTANT MESSAGES:

📢 Got a problem in Milkstone and Deeplish? Contact me directly. I will take it up and push for action.

📢 Witness fly-tipping? REPORT IT! Don’t let the culprits get away with it. Those responsible should be identified, prosecuted where appropriate, and hit with the fines they deserve.

Fly-tipping is antisocial, disgusting and completely unacceptable. It ruins our streets, damages our neighbourhood and puts children and families at risk. Our community deserves better, and those who treat it like a dumping ground must be held accountable.

I will continue to chase these issues, challenge the Council and stand up for our residents. Day or night, weekday or weekend, I am here to serve you.
