🌸 FRIENDSHIP CAFÉ – THIS SATURDAY! ☕🍰

Fancy getting out of the house, meeting some new people and enjoying a friendly chat over a cuppa? Come along to the Bobbing Friendship Café this Saturday, 26th September. 💚

There’ll be plenty of tea, coffee and cake, plus cards, puzzles and lots of friendly conversation. You can join in with as much or as little as you like — or simply sit down with a cuppa and have a chat. ☕🍰🧩🃏

🌸 A wonderful evening celebrating Bobbing in Bloom 2026! 🌸

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us this evening for our Bobbing in Bloom Awards. It was lovely to see so many residents come together to celebrate the beautiful gardens, baskets and displays that brighten up our parish. 🌺🌻🌿

A very special thank you to Cllr Derek Carnell, Mayor of Swale, for joining us and helping to present the awards, and to Cllr Karen Watson and Jagoda Bencych for helping to present the certificates and trophies.

Congratulations to all of our trophy winners and certificate recipients, and thank you to everyone who took part in Bobbing in Bloom 2026. Whether you received a trophy, a certificate, or simply take pride in making your garden look lovely, you all help make Bobbing a brighter and more colourful place. 🏆🌷

For those who were unable to attend this evening, or who weren’t able to RSVP, please don’t worry — we will be delivering your certificates to you over the next few weeks. 💌

And finally, thank you to everyone who helped behind the scenes, provided the refreshments and helped make tonight possible.

❤️ A huge thank you to Hopkins Defibrillator After Care! ❤️

What a fantastic evening of FREE CPR and defibrillator training at Bobbing Village Hall.

A big thank you to Hopkins Defibrillator After Care for delivering such an informative, practical and enjoyable session for our community. The training was absolutely first class and gave everyone the opportunity to get hands-on experience of CPR and learn how to use a defibrillator confidently in an emergency.

👏 Eight parishioners attended this evening, taking the opportunity to learn skills that really could help to save a life.

It was lovely to see everyone getting involved, asking questions and having a go. Hopefully everyone went home feeling a little more confident about what to do should they ever be faced with an emergency.

❤️ Thank you to everyone who came along and took part, and once again a very special thank you to Hopkins Defibrillator After Care for giving their time and sharing their knowledge with us.

These are such important skills to have within our community, and Bobbing Parish Council is delighted to have been able to offer this training free of charge to our residents.

🚨 A FEW SPACES HAVE BECOME AVAILABLE FOR TONIGHT! 🚨

Due to a few people now being unable to attend, we have a small number of spaces available for our FREE Community First Aid & Defibrillator Training this evening – Wednesday 23rd September at Bobbing Village Hall. ❤️

⏰ Arrival: 6:00pm
🩹 Training starts: 6:30pm
⏳ Duration: Approximately 2.5 hours

This is a great opportunity to learn practical first aid and defibrillator skills that could help you save a life in an emergency.

Places were originally fully booked, so if you missed out before, now is your chance!

☕ FRIENDSHIP CAFÉ – IMPORTANT UPDATE ☕

We would just like to clarify that the Bobbing Friendship Café will now return to its original format and will be held once a month only.

📅 Last Saturday of every month
⏰ 10:30am – 12:30pm
📍 Bobbing Village Hall, Sheppey Way, Bobbing, Sittingbourne, Kent, ME9 8PL

The Friendship Café is a relaxed and welcoming place to come along for a friendly chat, a cuppa and some company. ☕❤️

Please note that it will no longer be running alongside the Repair Café, as the Repair Café will not be going ahead for the foreseeable future.

We look forward to continuing the Friendship Café in its original monthly format and hope to see lots of familiar and new faces there.
