Message for Playgorup parents
We hope you’ve all had a lovely break. We’re looking forward to welcoming all children back and easpiaclly our new starters
Please ensure your child brings the following items:
🎒 A backpack
👕 A full set of spare clothes and a coat or jacket as we play outside daily.
Backpacks should be taken home daily as we need the space for our afteschool school club children's coats
Please make sure ALL items are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
🍎 Food & Drinks
To help us keep everyone safe, children must not bring any food or drinks into nursery, as we have children who attend with food allergies.
During their sessions we will provide all the snacks and drinks they need
🧸 Toys from Home
Please do not allow children to bring toys from home into nursery. Unfortunately, we cannot take responsibility for any toys that are lost or damaged.

Wow. How quick have the Summer Holidays gone.
We are ready to welcome you all back next week.
Tuesday afternoon 1st September will be our inductions for our new playgroup starters. Playgroup returning children will start on Wednesday 2nd September at 9.30am. After Schools children will return to school on Thursday 3rd September. We are looking forward to seeing all the children again. Please email, message or phone if you have any queries.

Is your child worried about using the toilet at school? Whether they're getting ready to start or have already begun their school journey, we have some tips to help:

✅ Let the school know about your child's needs early and speak with their teacher or a member of the school support team. Show them the School toilets information on our website and if appropriate, complete an Individual Healthcare Plan like the one on our website and look at our Intimate Care Policy.
✅ Know the school's policies. If your child uses protective underwear or a reminder watch, check what support and provisions are available.
✅ Ask the school how you can connect with local support services, such as your school nursing team and parent/carer forums.
✅ Practise using toilets away from home so different flushes, cubicles, and hand dryers feel less intimidating.
✅ Choose easy-to-manage clothing. Elasticated waistbands and long socks are much easier than tricky buttons, zips, and tights. We have a range of protective underwear, vibrating watches and items such as TomTags and other visual aids in the ERIC shop.
✅ Get into a positive toilet routine at home, including regular toilet visits, using the toilet 20/30 minutes after eating breakfast, lunch and dinner and plenty of fluids,
✅ Check for constipation. It's very common in children and can have a big impact on toileting.

🌱 Our Final Day of Fun! 🎉

And just like that… Day 8 of 8 days of fun is done! 💛

We finished our Healthy Holidays sessions with a lovely day of planting and growing 🌱🪴 The children had great fun making their own planting pots to take home, ready to watch their plants grow. We think there might be a few budding gardeners among us! 🌻

It has been 8 fantastic days filled with fun, laughter, friendship, creativity, food and lots of brilliant memories. From rockets and circus skills to baking, crafts, games and gardening, the children have certainly kept us busy! 🚀🎪🍪🌱

A huge THANK YOU to all the children for making every session so much fun – you have been amazing! ❤️

And an even bigger thank you to our wonderful team, who have put so much planning, energy and care into making these 8 days happen. 👏

What an emotional day today has been.
After 10 years at Station House, Shayla has left us to take up a new position in childcare.
From the shy 16 year old that joined us as an apprentice she has grown into a confident, very capable practitioner.
We will all miss her very much.
Good luck in your new job Shayla, love from all the staff and children at Station House. ❤️

🚀 3… 2… 1… BLAST OFF! 🚀

Things got VERY exciting at Station House as our amazing children became rocket scientists for the day! 👩‍🚀👨‍🚀

They designed, built and decorated their very own rockets before getting ready for launch day! There were some very creative designs, plenty of teamwork and, of course, a LOT of excitement. 🌟

We’re not quite sure if we have discovered the next generation of astronauts… but we definitely have some future engineers on our hands! 😂🚀

A huge well done to everyone for their brilliant creations! ❤️
