Fostering Rotherham We can’t do this on our own. Fostering Rotherham is part of Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council, which means we operate as a not for profit organisation.

We believe that children and young people in Rotherham should grow up with the right support to allow them to be healthy, safe and achieve their potential in life. We’re always looking to expand our community of fostering families from across the Rotherham and South Yorkshire area so we can improve the lives of local children and young people. Our fantastic local foster carer heroes offer up their

homes and hearts to young people. This means that Rotherham's children stay local, maintaining their school life, family connections and friendships. By fostering with us you’ll be helping children in your community to thrive. Every day, all our fostering team and carers live the Rotherham values that are at the core of what we do. We believe in honesty, accountability and always being respectful. We are ambitious, because we want to make a real change for all of Rotherham's looked after children, and we are proud of what we do. We hope to welcome you into our local fostering family very soon.

It is starting the day with good food, great company and shared support🍽️

During Foster Care Fortnight, we brought our foster carers together for a breakfast catch-up, a chance to connect, chat and check in with one another🧑‍🤝‍🧑

From sharing experiences to offering advice, (and enjoying a well earning cup of tea), these moments of peer support are so important☕

Fostering can be challenging at times, but having a strong network around you makes all the difference.

Fostering is taking time to slow down, connect and enjoy each other’s company🧑‍🤝‍🧑

Our foster carers came together for a lovely walk around the beautiful grounds of Wentworth Woodhouse, the weather just about held off for us, so after, we managed to have a relaxed picnic in the sunshine☀️

It was a chance for carers to chat, share experiences, support one another and simply enjoy some well-deserved time together.

This is Fostering Rotherham💜

It’s fresh air, fun and making memories together🍃

As rain stopped play last week for our scheduled walk, yesterday evening, we came together for a lovely walk around Thrybergh Country Park.

It was the perfect way to unwind with the children, young people, foster carers and our staff. We enjoyed the outdoors, chatting, laughing and spending quality time together🥰

And thanks to one of our lovely foster carers, at the end of the walk, we all sat down to a hot chocolate, with marshmallows and cream!

Moments like these remind us that fostering is about more than just care. It's about creating a sense of belonging and shared experiences✨

Thank you to everyone who joined us for such a peaceful and positive evening.
