Things are changing....😊

Did you notice the change to our name last week? We are now Rotherham Parks and Countryside

Rotherham Parks has grown, and we will now include posts from across Rotherham's Green Spaces team. From now on you’ll be getting posts from Rotherham’s Urban areas as well as from the teams at Thrybergh and Ulley Country park, the Ecology and biological records service and the Trees and Woodland teams.

We are so excited to be growing together and bringing you the best from Rotherham Parks and Countryside.

If anyone walking round the park or local countryside spots a young German Shepherd, one has been lost very local to the park.

Join the Green Spaces team this February half term for Love Nature Day 2025.

We're spreading the love of all things nature, so come a long and hug a tree or maybe you'll create seed bombs, you could make a bird boxes with our rangers to encourage nesting in your garden or you can also plant some flower pots to enjoy at home, plus so much more. Look out for further information over the coming weeks.

Many Thanks to everyone who is reporting a swan stuck in the ice here at Ulley.
We urge members of the public not to attempt a rescue under any circumstances.
Swans may appear stuck at first glance but are in fact extremely powerful birds who are very capable of freeing themselves from the surrounding ice.

Rangers will continue to monitor over the coming hours and act if necessary.
